Issue with new entries in table

Hello there, I have the following three issues:

    (1) - see screenshot s1
In the columns settings under "Editing" I defined that all columns of my table can be empty/are not mandatory (= that is I did not activate "Cannot be empty"). If I try to add a new entry in the table the fields look right (there is no star symbol meaning mandatory), however they work like mandatory fields. Although I did not make them mandatory, an error occurs if I fill in only a few fields, keep others empty and submit the new entry. So, I always have to fill in all fields in order to be able to save the entry. Is this a bug or did I miss something in the user surface/options?

    (2) - see screenshot s2
Using the Inline Editing option I have the problem that after double clicking the entry I want to edit, it shrinks in width, so I can only see the first few letters of the entry and it's quite cumbersome to change it. Is there a way to fix this (ideally the width should stay the same when in the inline editing mode..)?

    (3) - see screenshot s3
Is there a way to translate the date pickers in the edit mode?

I'd really appreciate if you could help me on this :o)

    Thanks and kind regards
    Felix

    Hi, Felix.

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

    1. In regards to the error when trying to add a new Row with empty cells "Column "text_2" cannot be NULL",

i am not able to reproduce this when i visit your page.

I can add a new blank row, with all empty values for all columns and it successfully adds the row.

Here is my ScreenCast recording :

    https://watch.screencastify.com/v/vcXbgyv4FciiBbZtwBu4

If you can still reproduce the issue, let me know - or perhaps you did something to fix this in the meantime?

    2. I see what you mean for the inline Editing.

I can not reproduce the issue on my Test tables, though.

On your site, this table shrinks the inline Edit container a lot,  while on my Test site,

and on our Demo Sandbox i also tested, it is just adding a bit of padding.

Here are a couple of screenshots as a comparison :

    And my Video recording here.

I believe it is probably some CSS conflict with your current WP Theme.

Can you try to change your Theme to any Default WP Theme, just as a quick test - let me know if the behaviour is different.

In the meantime, i will reach out to our developers to see if they can provide some easy Custom CSS for you that can expand that inline Edit container in your table.

I will report back when they respond, in the meantime, let me know if changing of the Theme has different behaviour on your end.

    3. In regards to translating the Date Picker,

the language of the date picker is being determined by a 3rd Party HTML5 library.

If a language you need is supported in this library, and if the current page has this language locale activated,

then this language will be applied automatically.

If that language is not supported by this library, then the calendar will be in English.

Let me know if you have any questions, i will still report back about point #2 ( the inline Edit width).

    Kind Regards,

    Miloš Jovanović

Hi Miloš, no worries - and thanks for your answers :o) As you assumed we have already solved the first issue - it derived from the MySQL database. You are also right with regard to the second issue - with another theme the inline editing field is wider if still not wide enough. So, in case your developers have some custom CSS to solve it, we'd be happy. For the third issue there seems to be no solution then since the HTLM5 library obviously does not have German language in store.. Kind regards, Felix

    Hi, Felix.

    2. In regards to the shrinked inline Edit area, we are still checking with our devs,

i believe they should be able to find a custom CSS that can help.

We will report back as soon as they advise on that.

    3. In regards to German for the Date Picker, i will ask our developers to double-check if they have any kind of workaround that might help at this time.

    Thank you for your patience.
