Skip Category Selection in Service Catalogue

Hi Guys, super in love with your catalogue booking! However, there are a few things not yet so well working.

    1. I´d like to skip the category selection (step 1). It feels unnecessary, since users can choose the category anyway in the nice service overview.

    2. I want users to be able to select a package, but it doesn´t make sense to display the packages in step 2 already, since so far all packages are only one service but for example 10 times. Users should only see the service and in step 3 they should get the information that they can also have a package.

    3. Generally, I think the package-system is great, but not the best solution for using it with only one service. Why? Because tt´s really not nice to have an overview of different services in the catalogue, but then five times appears the same service, because we want to give discount for booking more appointments at one time.

Solution 1: Would be better to be able to chose discount rates in the single service, when users purchase several appointments at one time, so for example when buying 5, 5 % discount, when buying 10, 10 % discount and so on. And package would then only be a combination of different services.

Solution 2: Another solution could be to have different package categories, such as a, discount packages with only one service and b, different services together in one package. In this way, it would be possible to display really only certain package categories in the catalogue overview. In any way, the single service should ALWAYS display available packages (what I described in 2.)

Could you help with these features?

    Best

    Hello Raphael.

    Sorry for the late response.

    1. You can't skip the category step if you have multiple categories and you want people to be able to select services from all categories. I understand what you mean and I asked our developers about it - they said that it shouldn't be that hard to add it in one of our upcoming updates, but it will require additional coding, so it's going to be added to our plan for the future.

    2. and 3. This is also not possible, but unlike #1, I'm not sure if these modifications will be added in the future. I'll forward it to our developers, of course, but I can't make any promises.

    Kind Regards,

Thank you for your answer and it sounds great that my first request seems to be feasible.

I´d like to emphasize the second feature though to present you the problem as I believe many users will face the same, if they want to allow for booking bigger packages but several times. Imagine you want to book a dancing class and you want to see what Latin classes (Latin would be the category) are available. Since you usually book a bunch of classes at the same time (and the more you book the cheaper it gets), in Amelia currently, you see 5 times the same product, just different amount of booking slots, Only then if you scroll further down, you´ll discover the other products such as Samba, Mergengue, etc. But all again connected to five different products, so it´s an endless search and scroll game. So that is very low Usability.

So solution is actually very simple: You only display the different dance classes, so I can see Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, etc. all very clean together and I find what I want quickly. Then in the next step I just chose what package I want, single class, five classes, ten classes, etc. and it´s a very straight-forward process. These packages don´t even need all a description since they all cover the same product for example: Salsa.

The challenge would be to create a second package type, that is not a combination of different booking products, but only a package of multiple booking slots for the same product.

I have one more question as a follow-up: how do I put the single course as the first available product and not the last. If you check here: https://www.spielflow.de/buche-deinen-privaten-schauspiel-coach/

It is the last that says "Kurs", that´s a bit bad for conversion. How can I put this one to the top?

    Thank you :)

    Hi again Raphael.

Thanks for further explaining, but I did understand it with the initial explanation.smile.pngAnd I agree with you! I'll have our developers look at this ticket again, so they can think about implementing this.

I hope we'll be able to include this in one of our future updates as well.

When you say you need the "Kurs" to be the first - you're referring to the Services, right? Meaning, you want Services on top, and Packages below?

That can't be done yet, but I'll forward it to our developers as well.

Thank you for all these suggestions!
