I have a couple questions relating to customizing the appearance of tables and charts.
1) I have a table linked to a Google Sheet data source. The number formatting has been specified in the Google Sheet, but is overwritten by the standard number formatting established in WPdatatables Settings. How can I preserve the formatting from the data source? If it can't be preserved, how can I customized it within the WP table? E.g. I need one cell in a column to be a percentage and another cell in the same column to be an integer and another to show two decimal places.
2) Is there a way to established a standard set of colors to be used for charts? Tables seem to have this ability, but I haven't found it for charts. I would like all my charts to adopt the primary, secondary, tertiary, etc. colors from the global standard I set, and automatically update to reflect any future changes to those standard sets of colors. Otherwise, if I ever want to change the global standard colors I'll have to update all my charts individually.
We don't work on weekends so it adds two days to the waiting time.
we appreciate your patience.

1. If you set it up as a numeric column, it is not possible to have different number format in different cells in the same column.
If you set a float, for example with two decimals - it has to be consistent format for the entire column/all of its cells.
Or if you need integer in one cell, then in another cell only to have decimals, that is also not possible.

The only way to have data presented as, let's say "mixed formatting" in same column like that can be if you use a "String data type" for that column.
But if you plan to use it for charts - in the chart you can only choose one String or Date type column,
it will be used as labels on X asis - and for the series you can only use numeric columns,
so for charts unfortunately there is no solution if you have a "mixed formatting use-case" for series.
Realistically i am not sure if or when something like that might be possible, but you can add this idea as a future development suggestion, and our devs will do their best to come up with a solution in the future.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
2. I am sorry to disappoint you,
but we don't currently have an easy option/feature to set a default set of colors to be used for all charts.
If you wish to see this in the future, you can also add this as a future development suggestion.

Generally speaking about our charts and customizing them,
every chart engine has its own layout and its settings.
We use free libraries for chart engines, and they are limited as to what we can change from within the plugin's UI.
there you will see a custom chart callback example for each chart engine.
Every chart exposes several options that customize its look and feel. Charts usually support custom options appropriate to that visualization. wpDataChart callbacks allow adding options that are available in Google Charts API, Highcharts API, and Chart.js API.
All necessary resources are available in charts engines API (depends on which one you use). Every engine has a different approach to chart settings. In wpDataChart callbacks, you have to adopt those settings to the wpDataChart object (you can take a look at examples for each engine in our documentation, and also in the Support help center). A huge number of examples for any area of programming can be found on stackoverflow.com (typing your problem in google and at the end add "site: stackoverflow.com" and Google will search only that website). Also, a lot of examples of charts, chart settings, and customization can be found on jsffidle.net (typing in google for example "line chart highcharts jsffidle")
Please note that using hooks or wpDataTable and wpDataChart callbacks requires a certain level of programming skills and included support refers only to advice.

You can check out all the available chart engines and examples of wpDataCharts documentation here .
If the options you need are not in the chart creation wizard, you can try to find a custom solution using chart callbacks.
You can check our documentation about wpDataCharts callbacks,
there you will see a custom chart callback example for each chart engine.
