We want to be able to use Amelia for several clients that have physical events in venues. This would mean that a seating plan would be needed and ideally a qr code (with scanning option) when they enter.
This would also require that certain chairs or areas are blocked from being booked, seats together being selected, etc. I'm sure you know what I mean :-)
Any chance of getting this sometime soon as I hate to have to go to another plugin/service for this ;-)
Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. We plan to add QR code option in the future, but Amelia doesn't not have a seating plan since it is designed for appointments. This is a specific requirement which we can not promise that it will be built in the future.
The only workaround of somesort thatwe can think is this one if you want to use Amelia for table booking.
We don't have an option for displaying the table plan, but you can create tables in the place where our employees are, and give customers the option to pick one of the tables.
You can also set minimum and maximum capacity for each table and disable the option "Allow booking below minimum capacity".
We made this option for this kind of use case since it works in the way that once some customer books above minimum capacity it automatically closes this time slot for the particular table so other customers (that don't know each other) can not fill in the table until the maximum capacity is reached.
Please just be aware that at the moment each employee (table) would need different email set in the profile but there is a workaround if you plan to use Gmail or Outlook mail.
This is the best option a this time. Hope it helps in case it does not I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this link https://features.wpamelia.com/
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
