I think that should not be the default behaviour.

Can i please take a look at the back-end of your table setup - then i can try to reproduce this issue by making a similar table on my Test site?

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. 

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties. 

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

And point me to the table ID, please. Thank you.

I am also able to reproduce the same behaviour on my Test site with both Lite and Premium plugin versions, can't get the sort by the Grouped Column as "descending".

To be honest, i am not 100% sure if this is the default/intended behaviour or if we have a bug to fix ( it seems like it).

We will double-check this with our QA Team and our developers.

As soon as we confirm it we will report back right away.

Just wanted to let you know that i am still following up on this with our QA Team.

We don't have the final confirmation yet, but they are conducting tests to determine the default behaviour for sorting on a "Grouped column".

We have confirmation.

This is currently the default behaviour for this feature to group rows / grouped column,

to always sort as ascending order on that grouped column.

If you wish to see the option to toggle the sorting order for it, please make a suggestion for future development, and our devs will do their best to add it as soon as possible.

Please feel free to search on our suggestions page, 

 to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there,  and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

Yes. The sorting option is there by default in the column settings,

and we understand that it can look a bit confusing, because when we toggle the Grouped Column option, the interface for the sorting stays the same,

so we will try to think of a way to add some kind of "notice" that appears when users enable grouping for this column, perhaps a tooltip or to "gray out" sorting order for "descending",

at least until our developers try to add the descending solution for the Grouped Column in the future.

In any case, thank you again for this feedback, we greatly appreciate it and will do our best to improve that.

For the time being, the descending order will only 'activate' for the column when it is not "Grouped", otherwise it is only ascending.
