Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

And if you could let us know are you using a separate/external Database connection perhaps for MySQL tables,
or are you using other types of tables, on the WordPress database?
Our developers have isolated the root of this issue.
On this site, a deprecated MySQL version 5.6 is installed, which is not supporting JSON functions,
and we also assume that it is the same issue as reported in Mathias's ticket.
Our devs have edited the code for Dom's site in the plugin, in order to see tables, but you will not have our feature "table description" working properly.
The best solution here will be to see with your hosting support, if they can update the MySQL version to at least 5.7 or optimally 8.0 version.
The support for MySQL version 5.6 has stopped/ it became deprecated. ( Reference about that here)
Let us know how it goes, updating the MySQL version on the WordPress server should fix this issue completely.
I am glad to say that our developers just launched a new Update that has a permanent fix implemented for this issue of the "browse tables page" not showing tables correctly.
Please update your plugin to latest Version 5.4.1.
A minor update with bug fixes: BugFix: Fixed issue with browse page not loading when using SQL 5.6.x versions. Other small bug fixes.
We are just following up to add some information about this issue with "browsing tables" page in the back-end.
The update 5.4.1 has solved it for majority of users,
but we still had a couple of users that had specific MySQL versions installed on their server,
so our developers are adding a new Update very soon with a modified fix that we hope should resolve the issue for everyone after that.
Since this is a Public ticket, i just wanted to pass this information in case anyone stumbles upon it.
If anyone still experiences this issue,
please open a new ticket and we can help.
First step is to check under the "System Info" tab of our Plugin dashboard, and let us know which MySQL Version is showing there.
It is important for us to confirm that because our developers will add a new fix in the upcoming Update, so we are taking note of every user's version, to be sure.
Here is what you can try, too.
If you can please edit one PHP file of our plugin, with any text/code editor of your choice,
you will find it in this path ( either through your hosting's FTP, or the Hostings Panel/ File Manager) :
Hi just upgrade from 5.3 to 5.4.
All tables are visible in front end, pages/posts.
Backend - Table list - "No wpDataTables in the system yet."
However am able to edit them by putting in the url of each table.
"admin.php?page=wpdatatables-constructor&source&table_id=19"

I have same issue after update, please provide solution in public.
Looks like its still possible to access the edit table screen like this: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpdatatables-constructor&source&table_id=1
Hi, Mathias.
Thank you for reporting this as well.
Our developers are investigating this, they are working as quickly as possible.
We have accessed this particular site's WP-Admin and the WordPress database, Dom has allowed us access,
if you could also send us WP-Admin access on your ticket, and we will do our best to isolate this issue as quickly as possible.
Of course, as soon as we isolate the issue and hopefully resolve it on one of the two tickets,
we will post the solution on this public ticket, so that other users who might experience the same issue might find it.
Thank you.
@Dom, we will keep you posted on the progress as well, of course.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi, guys.
Just wanted to follow up about this.
If it is not currently possible for you to change the MySQL version on the hosting server,
our developers made this edited PHP file fix that you can use.
You can download it from the attachment i will leave here.
please upload it to your FTP and overwrite the file in this path:
wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/class.wdtbrowsetable.php
That should fix the issue of tables not loading on the list in the back-end.
Let me know if it helps.
Attached files: class.wdtbrowsetable.zip
