Hi,
I have two tables in one page. One is editable by the user and the second one is linked via SQL queries.
When the user edits the table #1, I would like the Table #2 to also get automatically refreshed. Right now the edit only shows in the table the user makes the edit on.
How can both tables be refreshed after the user adds a new entry?
Thanks
Hi, Syed.
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We don't have a solution that will "wait for the first table to be edited" and then refresh the second table,
but what you can try is,
if you set the "auto-refresh" interval in the table's Data tab,
for the second table to certain number of seconds,
then it will automatically refresh at the time interval you set, and it will show the updated state of the table.
( when they are linked to pull the same SQL data from same database table, such as this case, of course)
That is as close as we can get with the current capabilities.
As you probably know, for charts we have the "follow table filtering", which does work if you place a chart and its source table on same page,
then the chart "waits" for an action on the table, and it follows it "on the fly",
but we don't have this same feature between two tables.
Let me know if that makes sense - and if you have an idea how we might improve this logic,
please don't hesitate to make an improvement suggestion for our developers.
Feel free to search on our suggestions page,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
