Hello, I have a few questions that I need quick answers to. I have a 2.0 form in use, I would like to know how many reserved spots there are with spots remaining, is this possible without having to create an event? Another question is, when a customer books an appointment for the same day at 5:00pm-5:30pm and another customer books 5:00pm-6:00pm, how can this be achieved. Currently, this is not possible. Overlapping appointment.

    Hello Nico,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    1. Hello, I have a few questions that I need quick answers to. I have a 2.0 form in use, I would like to know how many reserved spots there are with spots remaining, is this possible without having to create an event? - Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. This option is available for Events only.

I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this link https://features.wpamelia.com/

Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

    2. Another question is, when a customer books an appointment for the same day at 5:00pm-5:30pm and another customer books 5:00pm-6:00pm, how can this be achieved. Currently, this is not possible. Overlapping appointment. - This is not possible to achieve with one employee since this will lead to double booking. And one person can not be at two places at the same time. So you need to have 2 employees working on the same service at the same time so that you can offer 2 sets.

    Hope this helps.

If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,

    Marko Davidovic [email protected]

Hi, thanks for the answers. If I hire two employees, they will each have their own calendars. I need to merge the services into one calendar that can be managed by both employees. Is this possible?

I would also like an answer to whether I can remove the required email for an employee. If I have to create an unnecessary employee, I don't want to have to create a separate email address for them.

    Hi, Nico

    1. It depends exactly what you need, when you say to merge both in one Calendar and have both Employees manage it.

If you meant to have employee A to go in Amelia's "Appointments tab", or  "Calendar tab"  and to see his and Employee B appointments there, it is not possible.

Each employee is limited to see only their own appointments in Amelia back-end as well as on the front-end Employee Panel.

The only users that can see everyone's appointments and manage them at the same time are users with Amelia Manager role, or WP Administrator.

You can see more details about Amelia's Users and Roles system here.

    -

The only way for both employees to see the schedule merged is if you connect them both to same Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, then they can see their schedule there.

You can add multiple employees and connect them to the same Google/Outlook Calendar,

but if you want to allow them to "overlap" and have two services available at same time, then don't enable this option in Amelia settings/integrations:

    For Google Calendar : Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots  ( keep that disabled);

    For Outlook Calendar : Remove Outlook Calendar Busy Slots ( also keep it disabled if you need them to overlap appointments);

    2.    In regards to having employees with same Email,

for a use-case like that,  you can create a  "duplicate employee".

If in reality it is actually just one employee, but you need the employee to be available for two services at same time,

then we have a workaround to make the duplicate, and they can even have the same employee name and identical Email.

    -

Here is a workaround to have the same email for multiple employees.

Basically, if you use Google or Outlook for emails ,you can put the same email ,

just place " +number"  before @ symbol,   and you will be able to save employees,

but all emails will go to the same email address.

For example:   ' [email protected]',  '  [email protected]',  ' [email protected]  ' etc,

will be different while saving and you will be able to save all employees but all emails will go to ' [email protected]'  address.

Here is an example from my "fake employees", this one i name "Nick Employee", and his duplicate i just added the name "duplicate", but they can actually have exactly the same name ( if needed).

I just add the +1  before the @ symbol.

Let us know if that works for yousmile.png

    -

You can also hide the employee selection from customers, then they would just see the time slots offered from both employees and Amelia will assign a random employee who is available at the selected time slot.

You can hide employee selection in Amelia's Customize options. Let us know if you need help with that or if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you
