That error looks strange from the screenshot, i see what you mean.
Can you tell me, i assume that you saw the "update now" button offered, and when you click it, the update fails with the error message from your second screenshot?
Can you try to disable the Master Detail add-on first,
and then see if you can try to update it while it's disabled?
If that does not help, please try to follow these steps, as if you were updating the main plugin,
with manual process to extract the installation folder of Master Details add-on on your FTP, as it is explained on this article :

Can you please open a new ticket, then we can remotely access your back-end of the WordPress,
and we can investigate the issue for you?
We will need access to an Administrator user login, so if you can send us an URL to your site along with Admin username and password,
and please make sure to either open a private ticket,
or if you wish to open a Public ticket, make sure to mark the reply as PRIVATE when you're sending any sensitive data, for security purposes.
Let us know if you resolved this issue, and if you successfully updated the Master Details add-on.
If you still see this issue, we can remotely take a look.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I am unable to update master details though the product key is saved in the activation. Please check attached screenshots.

I too have this problem, this has been going on for a number of days. The update now link is shown in the "There is a new version of Master-Detail Tables for wpDataTables available. A link is shown to "View version 1.3.4 details" the link behind this is "https://xm655.com/blog/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin§ion=changelog&TB_iframe=true&width=600&height=800" when clicked it shows the following window.
Clicking on the shown "update now" link starts the update process but fails with
