I am brand new to Amelia and am trying to set it up on our site. We already have Woocommerce connected to stripe and use it to sell Learndash coursed.
Is it better to connect Amelia directly to stripe or use woocommerce? Does connecting to Woocommerce change the functionality of Amelia. How does it change the customer experience?
This is up to you. Personally I prefer Stripe since it is quicker and easier. You can pay for the appointment in our booking form when you pay via Stripe and you are not redirected anywhere like you are with WooCommerce. But the choice is yours.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
I haven't set this up yet, but I think using Woocommerce can be good if you wanted to use something like ClickFunnels. That has cute features like order bumps, so if someone books in an appointment with you, you can create a flow to get them to buy one of your courses...kind of like a "would you like fries with that".
But it is a bit of fudging around, and at first glance isn't so pretty but can be cleaned up.
But...if it increases sales by 10% - worth it. Heck even 5% would be good?
I'm not sure yet....as it looks like it will add one extra step, which I'm not loving
Please open your ticket when you have questions. We do not want to disturb other users who have this ticket and there is no need to force them to receive notifications and to read our correspondence.
In this case, we will answer you with any method except the on-site payment option Stripe, PayPal, WooCommerce customer cannot book an appointment until it pays for it.
If you have any more questions please open your own new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.

Hello Marko,
If you use Woocommerce , the main advantage is to be able use https://woocommerce.com/payments/
Woocommerce Payment Service (a competitor to Stripe and Paypal)
Is that right?
I just see the main disadvantage of using the integration is that the user does not get to make an appointment before payment. Is this right?
Nick
