    Good day,

Please confirm for me, before I upgrade my software, the following items on the upgraded package (see screenshot)

    7413856362.png

    1. Is the Resources where we can do proper equipment hire/booking through the Amelia system? And if so, my site has 316 resources loaded as employees. Did you work in a way those of us that have used Amelia for equipment can transfer the data? The actual resources with all their info including their booking history?

    2. Is the Packages of Services where I can then say ok I want to book resource A and resource B out on 1 booking?

Example: The website I run Amelia on is used for the booking of stretch tents for events. For some events there are more than 1 tent. Currently, the tents had to be loaded as employees and the tent categories like sizes and colors as services. This works fine, however, some events require more than 1 tent. So my client had to book each tent out on it's own for the same event. Is it possible now to say for this booking I'll need tent A and B and E and make just one booking with all 3 tents listed and booked out for that time?

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

This option are part of Pro licenses but they will not work for you I'm afraid.

    Here is how it works.

Say you have a Barbershop and you have 3 available chairs, but there are 6 barbers (employees) your customers can book. In the past, you couldn’t configure Amelia properly for this case, but from version 6.0, Amelia includes Resource Bookings that allow you to do just this!

You are now able to create a resource that will be shared for all services you provide. In the example above, those services could be Shaving, Beard Trim, Short Hair, Head Shave, and so on. When you share a resource between services, it means you provide a resource that depends on the number of appointments, and it doesn’t rely on the service that’s booked.

For example, you’d add a resource named “Chair” and set its quantity to “3“. When you select the share option, all available services will share these 3 chairs, so even though you have 6 barbers that are providing the same services, only 3 people will be able to book at the same time, so if Jim, John, and Mark book December 30th, at 10:00, the remaining 3 barbers won’t be able to accept more customers in this time, and you will no longer face overbookings.

So it seems to us that resources work the opposite of what you need.

And for packages, yes, you can create and offer3 services in a package but you can not offer them at the same time for the same time slot. Your customer will be able to book 3 appointments for 3 services but in a different time slots.

If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,

Ok i understand. In previous tickets you guys spoke about being busy working on the extension to Amelia in order to use it for equipment booking. Is this still in the pipeline then? Any ETA on that?

    Hello,

Yes, we have tried to develop this, but we have to put it on hold for the time being. We do not have detailed information but this was not possible to implement at this time. We still plan to implement this but it will not be any time soon, unfortunately, due to various reassons.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.
