    Hi, Bernhard

    Sorry for the delay

Our plugin is being tested on PHP version 8.1.13 on our Development Testing,

and we can confirm that the plugin is optimized up to that version,

but there are a lot of other plugins and WP Themes that are still not optimized for PHP 8 or higher,

so you might have a conflict on your site caused by another plugin or Theme.

If you wish the easiest solution for this time, you can keep the PHP version to 7.4 , for the time being,

but if you want to try to test if you have a conflict on your site,  you can try, we can give you assistance and guidance.

The best would be to make a separate, Staging/Test version of the site ( if this one is production version of the site),  where you will be able to conduct testing.

Then, you can check, when you switch to PHP version 8,  please tell me does the back-end of the table(s) work OK  and the issue is just with front-end?

If the issue is only at the front-end,

wpDataTables is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) concept-based plugin. This means that the table should look the same both in the back-end and in the front-end. If your front-end table looks and behaves differently than in the back-end, this usually implies that there is another plugin (or the current theme) that's changing the behavior of our plugin.

Can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved? If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for our plugin, refresh the page where the issue is, and see if it is resolved (it should be). If it is, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue reoccurred. Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.

Let me know if that helped and if you isolate a conflict on the site?

    Thank you

    Kind Regards,
