    Hey

    We´re looking into building a membership site, where users should get access to our external database (active campaign). The idea is that they should be able to log in and search through the users. "Find all founders living in Norway" etc

    Any experience with people using your plugin for this, and any recommendations on a membership plugin/solution?

    Hi, Erik

    Thanks for reaching out to us

    -

    Our plugin does not have any capability to limit access to a table/post/or page for logged users/members , and to restrict/block access for others;

    but you should be able to achieve this use-case by combining our plugin with any Membership plugin;

    and if needed you can also install "user role editor" plugin if you need to make custom roles on your site.

    -

    So, for example, you could set up a page where a table with limited access would be,

    and you can set the access for this page to be available only for users with certain Role;

    -

    You can have one "Main/master" Manual table that will be created in your database,

    and allow full access without any limits only to Admins;

    then you can make another SQL Table from it - it can pull the same data from this existing table in the database;

    ( You can check what is the MySQL Table name for the Manual Table in the Editing Tab,

    then make a new SQL Table with a Query like :  "SELECT * FROM table_name");

    but you can control what users will be able to see/edit on the front-end, this SQL table could be just for certain users,etc...

    We can't recommend which Membership Plugin could be the best with our plugin,

    basically, you can't go wrong if you choose one of the most popular ones.

    We don't have any reports of any Membership Plugin having a conflict with our plugin at this time.

    In regards to filtering and searching,  you can check out all of our advanced filtering options on this Documentation with examples;

    -

    If you need more filtering options, we have this premium add-on Powerful filters;

    With it you can set up "hide table before filtering" feature;

    this can be used, for  example if you want to make the user use one or more filters.

    ( Filters can also be Cascading - dependant from left to right, or "free");

    then when the user finishes the filter selection, and hit "Search" ( you can of course, customize and change label for the Search button),

    only then will the table load, and only with the filtered selection for that user.

    Before purchase, you can test all plugin and Add-on features on our sandbox site.

    And i just wanted to point out that you can try wpDataTables before purchasing

     on our sandbox Demo sites ( you can find links for the main plugin Demo,

    as well as add-on Demos, in my signature),

    and there is a 15-day money-back guarantee period,

    so if you purchase the plugin, you can safely fully test it out, and if it doesn't fit your needs you can request and receive a refund in that period. ( same goes for all plugins and add-ons)

    Let me know if you have any additional questions. smile.png
