All Amelia Zoom Synchronization Stopped

    Previously creating an event in Amelia, automatically synced with Zoom.. 

    ( everything configured correctly)


    For unknown reasons all event syncing has completely stopped. 


    no errors in debug / apache log


    I only bought the plugin to use with zoom..

    Anyone know how to fix this?

    I finally got it to the Zoom syncing to work...

    How?

    I created a service, that I will never  need, nor use and tried to connect an Employee to the Zoom User like I saw in a video...  

    Multiple times it "successfully" saved the Employee as being "saved" / "connected to the Zoom user." (dirty lies)..  however, when I go back to check the Service integration status, I would get a warning message that the Employee was NOT connected to the Zoom User...

    It required 9 or 10 attempts at "successful saves" for the Amelia to --really / actually-- connect the Employee to Zoom user...  after that... I can now create events that are actually synced with Zoom...  


    You guys obviously need to do better at warning/determining when Employees are ---actually-- connected to the Zoom user... The "False Saves" cost me a lot of time...


    Not happy...  Now one problem remains..  The impossibility of update the plugin..

    I have already installed this file via GUI upload and via terminal.  

    I always get the "version higher than expected error" 

    That prevents updating of the plugin and interferes with my bash scripts that assume that all installed plugins can be updated.  

    I have sent all the information possible for troubleshooting on the other ticket. 

    My debug & apache logs are clear...  And in troubleshooting mode trying to enable only your plugin causes a site error.

    Do I really need to send screen video of the "false positives" when attaching an Employee to the Zoom User? Not something beneficial for me to lie about it.  These are clearly errors on your side.  I would appreciate some tangible troubleshooting...

    Hello Darryl,

    Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. 

    We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties. 

    You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    I am building a very, very controversial project, so unfortunately, I will not be able to comply with your request.  

    I am clearly, pretty adept at using terminal, not my first website.  Therefore I suggest you guys send me a list of whatever commands that you need executed. Additionally, I am more than happy to record a screencast of any commands that I execute.

    Hello Darryl,

    We just got the feedback from our colleagues and they have told us to ask you which hosting provider you have, because "Version higher than expected" is related to the "ameliabooking" service, which is used by both Amelia Lite and the full version. We cannot debug your issue with Zoom without trying it out. For that we need access and that is why we have asked for it in previous reply. You can try to inspect the console and see in the Network tab if you have any errors when you connect the employee to zoom.

    The Amelia Zoom Synchronization Issue has been resolved.  When I realized it required multiple tries to actually connect the employee to the zoom, that is exactly what I did.  It required 4 or 5 tries to connect the employee to Zoom user, but once it did, I haven't had the sync problem since...

    As for administrative access to troubleshoot..  I challenge your team to explain one command that they can type on a keyboard that I can not type on a keyboard.  I am obviously not computer illiterate.  If someone provides troubleshooting instructions beyond "look at the console"... I am fully capable of executing whatever request and recording screencast of outputs.  


    So no.. I do not see any justification for me to sacrifice security for what appears, honestly speaking, to be laziness, plenty of developers don't allow random, unknown support agents administrative access to their projects.

    I hope you guys can do better.

    Hello Darryl,

    We are glad to hear that everything is fine now in regard to this. Regarding this ticket https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3203404/ it was assigned to my colleague and I can see that he replied to you on that ticket allready.

    Regarding admin credentials, I'm afraid I have to disagree with you, it's not a lazy approach, on the contrary, it's a proactive approach. Instead of spending most of the time explaining to the user where and how (keep in mind that not all users are developers), we go to the site, set it up and check what is needed in a few minutes and we solve the issue.

    Of course, you have every right not to give us access, for that reason we ask you to give us access if you don't want it, that's fine, od course. But the vast majority, probably around 95% of our users, give us access to the site and they are grateful when the issue is resolved in a few minutes. Then they just delete the temporary credentials that they have created for us and that's it. But of course, we adapt to the customer's wishes and we respect them.

    If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
