I am in the process of setting up a coworking office and need a solution for online booking. I need to know if Amelia can do what I need!
Basically I need to have a number of "resources" (coworking desks in the main case) and I need to be able to book them on a daily basis, weekdays only, or every day of the month (including weekends). The number of coworking desks remains fixed (let's say 10) - so any booking must remove one desk from the availability for that particular day (or more days if booking the weekday or full month package).
So, can Amelia handle that? I've read your documentation, and it seems that putting each desk as an "employee" could be part of the solution, but I'm not really sure, so any help you might offer would be welcome so that I can decide if to buy or not!
Yes, you are on the right track. Setting up desk as employees is the way to do it. The only thing is the plugin cannot be used for multi-day bookings. It's currently limited to appointments and services with fixed durations that cannot go over into the next day.
For example, your employee's working hours can be from 00:00 - 24:00 on all days, but if there's a service that lasts 3 hours, and someone would like to book that service at 23:00, the time slot will not be available, since Amelia can't go into the next day.
But this can be achieved with our packages of service as you mentioned. In this case you would need to create a package for each combination 3 days, 5 days, 15 days, etc.
Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. Unfortunately, I don't think that this will be quite sophisticated enough for what I need, so I think I'll have to try Jet Booking on this occasion. It's a shame because the Amelia interface is much nicer and setting up JetEngine dynamic content will take more time too. Maybe this functionality could go onto your roadmap for future consideration? I'm sure that there is significant demand for this, judging from the number of SaaS platforms that offer something similar.
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
