We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

i need some help with placeholder / filtering

i use an exel file with many people entry

i got these 3 ppls for exemple:

    1. Smith Jhon David

    2. David Jhon Smith

    3. Smith Michael Jhon

    4. Michael Smith David

how can i use placeholder in order to show only 1. Smith Jhon David and 2. David Jhon Smith? (as u can see is the same person)

if i put to %var1% "smith" i will get all 4 entries

    if i put "jhon" i will get 1, 2, and 3

    if i put "david" i will get 1, 2, and 4

i have to use %var2% and/or %var3% etc? if yes, how can i do this?

    Hi, Kudor

Thanks for reaching out to us

If i understood, you wish to manually define which values should come up as available choices for filtering, right?

If that is the case, you can do it like this :

    -

    - You can split the values up individually, ( or manually input any values you need)

to use in a filter, even if they are pulled together in the same cell,

    here is an example.

The table pulls the values from all cells, so since you have multiple values together in one cell, it sees it as a unique value.

What you can do is open this column's settings, go to the Data tab. In there, change "Possible values for column" from "Read from table on page load" to "Define values list":

Then, in the "Values list", manually input the individual values that should be included in this column, and that's it. It should allow you to select each value on the filter, as an individual selection.

; here is the resulting filter multiselectbox of this example:
