Hello, I am using WpDataTables to display data from a JSON file. I created this table using the "Create a data table linked to an existing data source." option. I would like to keep this JSON file private and only display the table to the users. Is there any way a user could see where the source JSON file is located? Or is that information completely hidden from front-end users?
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

There is no way for a front-end user to find the source of the JSON data which is linked to the output wpDataTable,
so, for them, they will only see the output data on the table itself.
-
Only on the back-end of the table ( which can be accessed only by Administrators), the source JSON path can be seen.
Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you
No problem, thank you Milos, that answers my question.
One other question. Is there any way to programmatically generate tables? I need a way to bulk import and configure 100+ tables from JSON files. Is there any way to achieve this? Maybe through an API or custom plugin?
I am sorry to disappoint you, but currently, it is not possible in any way to programmatically make any automated way to generate multiple tables at the same time in our plugin.
Each table has to go through the Table Creation Wizard and set the relevant parameters for table generation.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

It is a good idea for future improvement, though.
