I purchased Amelia. I offer Rooms for rent. Now I want rent the a room (monthly) in a time slot from 07-1 pm, at the same time clients should be able to book the room per hour (2 hours minimum, 6 hours max.). So if someone rents the room per month from 7-1 pm, that time slot for the room must be unavailable. But that doesn´t work. I tried to work with employees (one employee from 7-1 pm). But than the client has several "time employees" to choose, which is pretty confusing for the client. So far as I have noticed, it is only possible to schedule employees that specific!? Have you got any idea to solve that issue? How can I make rooms bookable withing a specific time with several time products?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Thank you for providing me with admin access.
Since there are two employees available for the same service, there will be an option for multiple customers to book the same time slot. In a couple of days, we will release an update with the "Resources" feature that will be ideal for your use case.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi Uroš, thx for your reply. Again I try to explain my "problem": I want to offer 5 rooms for rent. Users should be possible to rent a room hourly, daily or monthly. Hiring a room monthly means, that it can be rented in a certain time slot in the morning (7-13) or afternoon (13-19). So if someone rents the room "Cabrio" one month in the morning, the room Cabrio should be busy in the time from 7-13 a whole month (from 1st to 30th). In that time the room can´t be booked again for example hourly. But it could be booked hourly in that same month in the free time from 13-19. It could be booked "daily" in the time from 13-19 also.
So I tried to create a service named "Room Cabrio" and an employee which ist just available in the time from 7-13 and named him "Monatsflat vormittags (7-13 Uhr)". So if someone chooses the service and that "employee" (which must be renamed also, cause "employee" is confusing for the clients), the time in the Calendar for that service (room) should be not available. BUT in the seetings of the services I have to define "duration and pricing". If I set duration in the service (for example for hourly booking a minimum of 2 hours, up to a whole day - so 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 hours), the booking schedule/calendar shows those timeslots also in the monthly booking, as that monthly booking morning slot is an employee, not a service.
If I set the hourly/daily/monthly booking as a service (for example "Room Cabrio monthly morning 7-13"), I can set just duration in that service, but not any timeslots! If I set one on that service employee from 7-19, the client could book the monthly service the whole day from 7-19 which is not possible or better, should not be possible. If I synchronize service and employee (for example service room monthly morning 7-13 and employee 7-13 only for that service) the room could accidently be booked parallely in an already booked time, as I would have to create several services with one employee each for ONE room no chance the time will be synchronized/blocked in the calendar. So more employees on one service doesn´t work as less as different services with one or more employees.
The solution would be, that there would be another instance (parent) above services in which I can define days and time and the services can be defined differently and share the same time/calendar. So if one service (hourly, min. 2 hours booked from 7-9) blocks a certain time, another service in the same time (for example monthly morning 7-13) can´t be booked anymore. In the first step I could live with 2 booking options: hourly and daily each room and we block one room for monthly in the backend. Is there any easy way to do that? So if I bloked one room (service) one month in backend from 7-13, those hours are not bookable anymore.
We are not 100% sure what might be the best solution for what you described,
and if Amelia has an ideal solution exactly for this kind of use case,
but we escalated this with our 2nd level Team. They will check the details you described and will advise with their input.
As soon as they advise, we will report back, and we will let you know if any further clarification is needed, just to make sure we correctly understood what you need.
Our plugin currently supports time slot booking during one day, so if it is just renting of co-working space for a couple of hours a day, then it is possible to use our plugin for this. If, however you need multi-day booking then you should check out our new feature Events.
You can either create rooms where services are and create an employee for each room (a different one, so they can be bookable at the same time) and hide the employee selection with a simple CSS (we will explain later on ) or you can create each room as a separate employee and create just one service to attach to each room. Just so you know each employee needs to have an email, so if you don't need a separate email for each you can create Gmail or outlook the same email with +number, and they will be seen as a different one (a would later explain you this in more details, but you should know that you need to use Gmail or Outlook).
If you create just one employee and rooms as services, that means that rooms will not be bookable at the same time, since there is just one employee that is working (one employee/rooms one working hours - multiple employees/rooms multiple working hours). That is the reason why I offer you two other workarounds: rooms as services but with several employees hidden from the front end, or rooms as employees with one service.
Hi! Thank you. So far I created rooms now with employees. So far, so good.
Now I´d like to know the easiest way for the owner and maybe the clients to see on a calendar, which rooms are vacant/busy
As the rooms (which can be booked hourly/daily) are employees and the services are the time-slots clients can book (hourly or daily booking), I´d like to know how I can make the timeslots being booked visible in the Google Calendar? I connected the Google Calendar to Amelia as it was demonstrated in the documentary, BUT in this case I would have to create one Google Account each room/employee, otherwise I wouldn´t have different calendars to connect/synchronize? Is there any chance to create some more calendars in ONE Google account?
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
1. Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features. You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
2. For this purpose, you can create multiple calendars under one Google account. If you need help with that, please check the following link.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

If your employee email address is [email protected] you can make more employees with the same email by adding numbers like [email protected],[email protected]... )
And then you can use the ameliabooking shortcode and on the front-end, you can hide with CSS dropdown with Employees.
You can use this CSS rule on the page between style tags where you will hide the Employee dropdown:
If you create just one employee and rooms as services, that means that rooms will not be bookable at the same time, since there is just one employee that is working (one employee/rooms one working hours - multiple employees/rooms multiple working hours).
