    Hi

I have just got into developing my website using word press. I want to create an online tuition website where I book in students recurring and payments are taken automatically like a subsription.

I currently tutor on google classroom and use google calendar so if this can be intergrated that great but not my priority. Also in the future, I would like to sell some workbooks as ebooks. It would also be nice to include more upgrades such as selling courses, certificates etc.

I tried using booknetic but the booking system was terrible. If a user wanted to book a time, you would be allowed to chose any date & time but in the next tab you would have to adjust all the times because they were booked. You can see on tejtutors.com/booking if booking Monday 5pm.

Most importantly, I would like to get the website running with a booking system and subscription type weekly payments set up. All advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tej

    Hi, Tej

Thanks for reaching out to us, sorry for the slight delay

    1.  In regards to subscription system/auto renewal,

We currently don't have any way to set up recurring payments in Amelia, such as a Membership/subscription feature.

A Membership feature will be developed as a part of the Developer license (maybe even as part of the Pro license) in the future, but I can't say an exact ETA on it.

I can only suggest an idea for a workaround, by combining other plugins together.

For example, you can set up a Membership plugin, I believe some of them have a recurring payment feature built-in, and some can be combined with WooCommerce to set up users to pay for certain Membership levels ( or other products).

Then, you could use the "User role Editor" plugin to create additional user roles, only for certain customers. With the Membership plugin, you could then limit access to certain pages,

to make them available only for certain user roles.

For example, a custom role "VIP" would have access to page 1 where you can place a shortcode for a free service/package or Event offered for them.

Then, another custom role "Level 1" would have access to page2 where [ameliacatalog package=2] is placed, which would have different prices, and so on...

Here are more details about our Package feature.

You can also check out our Quick Start Guide here, with a Video example and textual Documentation, to get acquainted with Amelia's basics.

Here you can see about setting up Services and categories.

And here you can see about Events
(* Events can be useful if you have Courses that span across several days,

you can also see here the difference between multi day Events and Recurring events Recurring VS multi-day events)

    -

The main point to know , if you use Appointments from Services, then users can pick any date and time from the available employee's schedule ( but in Amelia, any unavailable time slots will not be shown, you will not see that issue as you described from booknetic)

The main difference with Events compared to appointments is that,

customers can not choose date and time - Events have only fixed dates and duration, they can only pick it and book a ticket.

And an appointment can not last over 24 hours, but Events can have multiple days.

Let me know if all of that is clear or if you have additional questions.

    2.  Integration with google classroom :

We currently don't have integration with google classroom,

the only tutoring integration we have is integration with Lessonspace.

Please check more about this here.

    3.  We have integration with Google Calendar.

    Please check more here.

    4.

For selling other products, that are not bookings, you can combine WooCommerce on your site.

Please check more on our integration with WooCommerce here.

Additionally, I just wanted to point out that we have pages with Demos, that you can use to try out the plugin's features - https://wpamelia.com/demos/

and there is a 15-day money-back guarantee period, so if you purchase the plugin, you can safely fully test it out,

we would assist you with our support along the way, and if it doesn't fit your needs you can request and receive a refund in that period.
