I've created a current event every two Wednesday. I enable "Show booking slots in client time zone" to allow people in USA or in Australia to see the event in their time zone.
But it doesn't work, wherever I am, the booking form show the time I select in my event "1pm to 2.30pm".
I've used VPN to connect myself in Canada, and Russian, and time zone doesn't change.
Could you tell me how to fix it ? Because I order your plugin thanks to this feature.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I have checked and it works like that for events at the moment. I have passed this on to our developers and hope that it will be changed in the near future.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
You just said that it would be "a meeting", our colleague just assumed you will use Appointments/Services.
The way he answered your question is - he explained that you can set Time Zones for time slots :
-
-
That option is in the Amelia settings/General Settings/Show booking slots in client time zone
A customer can only choose time slots for appointments ( for Events it is fixed time),
and we are able to set to show time slot times converted to client's device Time Zone only for appointments.
But unfortunately, we don't have this feature for Events yet.
We will do our best to add converting of Time Zones for Event times to clien't Time Zones as soon as possible,
but we can't promise an exact ETA due to various factors that postpone development.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
-
For the time being, you can only customize the Event's description or Title, to somehow point out to the customers what is the Time Zone presented in the Event's Time.
I'm sorry to answer that but you're a bit bad faith.
Maybe it was a misunderstanding between me and your colleague, but at the end of my question, there is "Another question, the business consultant will be available every two weeks on wednesday. Is it possible to do it ?"
So whatever the word I used, when you read that, you understand I'm talking about an event.
And I don't know why a feature of your product will be available only for appointment and not for event. For me it's the same, so if you tell me "yes timezone client is working for appointment" for the common mortal, you'll understand "timezone client is working for everything".
You played with words but the fact is, I ask for a feature, they told me "it will works" and it doesn't work.
Anyway, it Christmas and end of the year soon, so I wish you the best whatever you do
Firstly our sincere apologies for the waiting time for the replies.
-
Yes, i can completely understand what you mean.
It was a misunderstanding, and our colleague could have asked do you need this for Events or appointments and then explained that showing appointment time slots is possible, with the option,
but for Events it is not possible yet.
The developers are working to add this for the Events as well - but Events have a different logic behind them, and it is more difficult to add the time zone option for them.
-
The question you asked "consultant will be available every two weeks on Wednesday",
it is actually possible to set this with appointments, as well,
because we have Working Hour schedule for employees and we also have Special Days,
so for appointments you could also set the consultant to be available only every second week on Wednesday, it does not specify if it is for appointments or Events,
our colleague just made the assumption that it was for appointments, for that we apologise once again.
-
Thank you for understanding.
We will do our best to add the same "Show time in client's time zone" feature for Events, as it exists for appointments as soon as possible.
At this time we can only add some text on the Event Description or Title to indicate for customers what Time zone it is.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
Of course, we are here if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to open new/multiple tickets.

so for appointments you could also set the consultant to be available only every second week on Wednesday, it does not specify if it is for appointments or Events"
Of course, i can advise you how something like that can be set.
Special Days – This feature allows you to configure one or multiple days when the employee’s schedule is somehow different from the standard one.
E.g. one can have different working hours, provide different services, and/or work in a different location for one Thursday only ( or as in our case, every second Wednesday).
Whether you need to set shorter or longer working hours for just one day or a period, set a different service for one specific day or a whole week, or assign the employee to a different location for a day — here you can do all of this.
-
For this use-case, i would advise to completely remove "regular Work hours" for an employee that will be providing the Service,
and just set up Special Days.
You have to set each day manually. Here is an example, if we start from next Wednesday, then i skip one week each time, and go for every second one after that :
As you see, on top of the time slots, there is the Time Zone pointed out, in my case Europe/Belgrade,
but if a client visits from another Time Zone on their device - that will change and show their local time with converted time slots.
But on your back-end it will always show your WordPress Time Zone.
Here is my Video to show you just an example of how we can manually set each second Wednesday only,
and you can completely customize the work hours, etc.
I have just made a simple schedule, from 10 > 18 hours, for all Services that this employee provides,
and if a customer goes to front-end, to try and book this Service provided by the employee,
in that case, they will only see the time slots i set on the Special days ( i just set a couple of Wednesdays, but of course, you can add as many days as you need).
-
The only "hassle" with this setup is that you have to manually add each Special Day like this,
we can not "automate it" to say " each second Wednesday" as "standard work hours".
-
For the Events, we can say "recurring each two weeks", so in that regard using recurring Event is easier to set time slots "in advance automatically" with less manual input.
-
But as i said, we will do our best to add setting "Show client Time Zone for Events" in the future.
If you need that right now, it is only available for appointment from Services.
-
Let me know if that makes sense and if you have any questions Thank you
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
-
Yes, i can absolutely understand what you mean.
For use-cases like this, making a recurring Event is much easier than manually inputting all the Special Days for Services in the employee Special Day schedule...
It is just unfortunate that we still don't have the "Show client's Time Zone" for the Events yet.
We will do our best to work on it as soon as possible,
i can't promise an exact ETA since our developers are working on a lot of tasks,
I saw that no user has created this request yet on our Suggestions page,

Hi,
Thanks for your reply
It is the feature I expected from the plugin when I bought it. And your support (ticket #3179280) told me it will work.
So I really need asap.
Hi, divilogy
Just following up to add some details to clarify everything.
-
On the ticket you are referring to, our colleague Marko has advised you, thinking that you meant to use Appointments from Services.
If we check, you did not specify what booking type you would be using, Events or Services.
This is your question from ticket https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3179280/ :
-
You just said that it would be "a meeting", our colleague just assumed you will use Appointments/Services.
