My customer flow requires users to be logged in and fill in a consultation form before having the ability to add to cart or book an appointment. I am also using the Woocommerce integration.
I have two areas where I would like some support.
Firstly I have created a custom fields within wpamelia which I would like to be dynamically populated with the consultation id I generated in the step before.
The problem is that custom fields, do not have unique IDs or attributes I can target. I would really appreciate an example of how to achieve this. Any random string being populated within the custom field would be a great example of how to achieve this and I'll be able to do the rest if you're able to do the above example.
My second requirement is to prevent the user from having to refill their data, as I would've insured that the user would be logged in before seeing the booking content.
is it possible to skip the information section for the user. I know this is required, but I'm hoping that we are able to run that stage without any user input. I can imagine this working by automatically validating and passing that stage.
If so please let me know I would be very grateful.
We just got the feedback from our colleagues and they have told us that when the user is logged in to WordPress and has the amelia customer role, data will be entered, but the information step cannot be skipped, unfortunately.
Also, it cannot dynamically enter custom fields at the moment but we thank you for the suggestion, and we will forward it to our development team.
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
If you have any more questions please open a new ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
