I am trying to use the new 2.0 booking form, I publish the form each time but for some reason it does not show up on my website. Please advise as the old form is very slow.
Did you change the shortcode to [ameliastepbooking]?
If you did please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
You are using the old shortcode that was used for the old booking form
You need to change the placeholder to this one [ameliatepbooking] and make sure to purge the cache afterward and then you should be able to see the new booking form after. Please try this and let us know how it goes.
Regarding the speed, I have already contacted Wordpress technical and they looked into it. The speed performance of the host is very fast and they can pin point the delay to Amelia.
Yes, that is the shortcode for the new 2.0 booking form [ameliastepbooking].
When you have a lot of data (services, employees, appointments, and most likely customers) combined, so if the form is not filtered (like [ameliabooking service=1] or something similar), the form loads all services and all employees.
If you're connected to Google and/or Outlook Calendar, those are checked for availability as well. Once the service is selected, the employees are drawn and their free time slots are displayed. So, there are a few calls that pull relevant data.
Maybe you can try increasing the timeout limit as well. Also, have you tried enabling the "Load Entities on page load" slider in Amelia Settings/Activation? That should avoid AJAX calls for fetching entities (services, employees, locations, packages, tags) and should increase the performance.
Like we mentioned Amelia is a WordPress plugin, not Saas, so the speed of Amelia is not related to Amelia's functions it depends on a number of factors and we can not influence the speed.
When we say filtered we mean that you show only one service with one employee for example [ameliabooking service=1], but since this is pulling al the data for all employees like we mentioned
"the form loads all services and all employees. If you're connected to Google and/or Outlook Calendar, those are checked for availability as well. Once the service is selected, the employees are drawn and their free time slots are displayed. So, there are a few calls that pull relevant data."
So if there is a lot of data to be pulled this has to slow down a little, and this is due to your number of data that is being pulled and we can not influence that.
As for the new booking form, we will check this out and contact you soon.
It does not work. I've inserted that code, cleared the cache, restarted the computer and the plug in does not appear. This is the customer facing view. See here no plug in application.
This is the back end view with the application inserted.
The new booking form should be displayed when you clear the cache, if you have a caching plugin or optimize plugin, please disable minify js files option.
For example, if you have WP Rocket, and you have enabled these JS optimizations, which have a negative effect on our New Step Form, that is based on Vue 3 Framework, the booking form wont show.
The old Form is based on Vue Framework 2; but the New Form is based on Vue Framework 3;
Once you disable the "minify JS" option in the Optimisations on WP Rocket, or similar, and purge the cache the form should appear.
Also, the issue could be with the Page optimize plugin. You have these settings
and they should be added to this first input amelia_booking_script_index like this

Hello Paul,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Is the page slow or Amelia doesn't show up at all? Can you please send us the page where Amelia 2.0 is?
Looking forward to your reply.

the program runs very slow. Sometimes it take minutes to load the calendar. This is very frustrating when my staff is trying to schedule appointments.
Hello Paul,
For slow load, Amelia is a WordPress plugin, not Saas, so the speed of Amelia is not related to Amelia's functions.
The slow load can be caused by a lot of things - the number of appointments you have, the number of customers, the number of employees, etc.
Other than Amelia, it could be caused by the amount of other data you have on the page.
Are you on a dedicated, or on a shared hosting?
Can you increase the php_memory_limit on your site?
If you're not sure how to do that, you can reach out to your hosting provider.
Please check out our demo sites (link) and see how the plugin should behave on a site with dedicated hosting and good server performance.
Regarding the 2.0 booking form we will check this now out and we will contact you on this ticket.
Talk to you soon.

Hi,
I dont understand when you say filtered. All employees are able to perform all services.
Also I tried to insert the new booking 2.0 code, I refreshed and cleared the cache but still the old one appears.
Please advise.
Hello Paul,
When we say filtered we mean that you show only one service with one employee for example [ameliabooking service=1], but since this is pulling al the data for all employees like we mentioned
"the form loads all services and all employees. If you're connected to Google and/or Outlook Calendar, those are checked for availability as well. Once the service is selected, the employees are drawn and their free time slots are displayed. So, there are a few calls that pull relevant data."

On which page did you place the [ameliastepbooking] shortcode?
We can only see the old booking shortcode on your page
You need to change that shortcode to this one [ameliastepbooking].

I do not see that short code option. Please advise where I can find it.
Is there a way to manually insert the code? Wordpress does not show that code is available. See my email below of available Amelia options.
Hello Paul,
That is the first shortcode that has been offered you can find it here
When you place that shortcode you will see it like this [ameliastepbooking].
Hope this helps.
