I update my tables every month and give the .csv file a different name, e.g. xxxxNov.csv, xxxxDec.csv. Previously I edit the table, browse to the latest .csv file to choose it, then save and everything is fine. Since the latest update I get an error message "File "https://xxxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/xxxxDec.csv" does not exist." I've tried renaming the file, I've tried uploading it as a new file (i.e. not from Media Library) but nothing is working.
Once you create a table from a CSV file, changes in this file like:
Changing the column’s name,
Changing the column’s order,
Deleting a column
Adding a new column.
Changing path to the source CSV
Changing source CSV filename
are highly not recommended, because the table in the wpDataTable plugin will not work, at the moment. If you make any of these changes, the table will break, then you will have to recreate the table again.

Let me know, if you try to make a new table from the same source file, does this work?
If so, this means that somehow the previously linked table has broke, and unfortunately now you have to make a new table,
but please make sure not to do any of the mentioned things, to avoid breaking an existing "linked table".
-
Let me know if that makes sense, and if that helped. Thank you
I think you've misunderstood me. I'm not linking the files. To create the tables I use the following option:
Create a data table by importing data from a data source.
Excel, CSV, Google Spreadsheet. Data will be imported to the database, the table can be edited in WP admin, or made front-end editable.
I use the CSV "Input data source type option", the "File location" is "WordPress Media Library", I '"Browse" to change the "Input file path or URL", select the new CSV file I've uploaded to the media library and it updates the table. It's all done by uploading CSV files to the media library, no SQL, no links, simple.
Since the latest update, on my existing tables created before the update, when I Browse the media library to update the Input file path I get the error.
I just created a new table, post-update, and it allows me to change the Input file path OK. It's something that has broken since the update - so if it isn't fixed, I am going to have to create my tables over again.
Thank you for clarifying, i completely misunderstood that you were using tables linked to CSV,
but you are actually updating existing Manual Tables via CSV.

If i understood,
now if you make a new table, everything you try with it - updating it via CSV , is working , so you basically can't reproduce this issue on new Manual Tables,
it just happens when you try to update existing ones ( created before update) ?
-
Would it be possible if you could make a screen recording ( via Loom/Screencast or anything else), and send it to us, so that we can see exactly the steps you take, and how the issue manifests on your site?
If you send any confidential data, make sure to mark reply as PRIVATE, so that only we can see it.
-
Then, if we can also take a remote look at your WP-Admin, if that's OK?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
And point us to any example Table ID's that have this issue - also show us a table ID that is new/without the issue.

Hi, Annie
Sorry for the delay

To be honest, i am not sure how you managed to achieve changing the file name or path before, and to keep the linked table from breaking,
but it has always been like this. I am not 100% sure if i understood the steps you did, but for example,
you can see on this Documentation about linking CSV to our tables,
Once you create a table from a CSV file, changes in this file like:
are highly not recommended, because the table in the wpDataTable plugin will not work, at the moment. If you make any of these changes, the table will break, then you will have to recreate the table again.
