Hi there, I wish to purchase wpdatatables but I need to know if its possible for data to be entered into the spreadsheet via a link? What I mean by that is values are passed in a url so can this plugin recognise custom url values and map them into a spreadsheet cell?
Once the table is created, it is no longer linked to the source file, so changing data in the table will not show up in Excel or Google Spreadsheet, and vice-versa.
To modify this table, you can either switch to the Excel-like view,
and then select and copy the range of cells you want to paste from the source file, and paste it in the Excel-like view,
or you can import a new/edited CSV to update the table, as well, in the following ways :
But we are not sure exactly what your use-case is.
If you can please elaborate in more detail about this use-case, if you have any working examples as screenshots, or a short video to show us exactly the process of this use-case?

Hi, Mitchell
Thanks for reaching out to us

My apologies, but i am not sure i fully understood what your use-case is.
For example, if you link a data source/spreadsheet that will be synchronized with a wpDataTable,
in that case this table will be synchronized with any editing you do on the source data,
but the table will not be editable from the plugin/WordPress end.
So, if you wish to link a table to the source spreadsheet, then our plugin will not be able to enter any data in the source Spreadsheet.

2.
If you import the source file, the plugin reads the source file and creates a manual table.
Once the table is created, it is no longer linked to the source file, so changing data in the table will not show up in Excel or Google Spreadsheet, and vice-versa.

You can see more details on Updating manual tables from source files (CSV, Excel or Google sheet) here.

If you can please elaborate in more detail about this use-case, if you have any working examples as screenshots, or a short video to show us exactly the process of this use-case?
Thank you
