We want to offer a winter class for kids holidays in our ceramic workshop.
So booking process is:
- 1 single day is 35€
- the whole week 130€
I am trying to set it up with service/package but I am facing this last issue:
- Customer must choose each day one by one for package and the module says: "All appointments must be booked separately."
We don't need that in this case as the week package should be for all days and employee available hours (10h-14h) automatically. Is it possible to do and how?
This is to avoid for customer to go over each day and hours which does not make sense here.
- Is there a way for parents to put their children name instead of theirs?
- And for brother and sisters, is there a way to change the "bring someone with me" phrase only for this service?
- Also is the employee working schedule (with special days) the only way to limit a service in days? Quite confusing sometimes.
- Finally do you think it would be better to use events in this case? But how to deal with days/week discount in this case?
I would advise you to use Events to achieve this, there can be multi-day Events, or recurring Events - here is the difference explained, instead of Appointments and Packages, please let me know if that works for you.
> Is there a way for parents to put their children name instead of theirs?
You can collect more data from your customers using Custom Fields (Amelia > Customize > Custom Fields).
For appointments, these fields will appear on the Booking form under the default fields, and once your customer fills them this information will be shown in the appointment information on the back-end.
As for the events, custom fields will be shown in the same place on the front-end booking form like for the appointments, but when it is about the back-end the place for the custom fields is different and you will find them when you open the Attendees list and click on any attendee. Once you click on the attendee on the list you will see an option “Edit attendee” and by clicking on that option the custom fields will show up.
You can find more information about Custom Fields here.
> And for brother and sisters, is there a way to change the "bring someone with me" phrase only for this service?
You can change it under Amelia > Customize > Booking Form 2.0:
>Also is the employee working schedule (with special days) the only way to limit a service in days? Quite confusing sometimes.
Yes, it is the only way.
> Finally do you think it would be better to use events in this case? But how to deal with days/week discount in this case?
For the events the coupon code will be sent after the attendee books x number of events. You can read more about on this link https://wpamelia.com/admin-finances/#finance-coupons. This is the best solution for know. And regarding pricing, you can also make Custom Pricing for Events.
