How do clients register to login to Amelia with a Username and Password?

    Hello Juan,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

There is no registration form because Amelia doesn't have a membership future. When they book an appointment they fill in the info and when they get connected to a WordPress user next time that information will be pre-filled.

You can enable the automatic creation of the “Amelia Customer” user. To do this, go to the “Roles Settings”, on the Customer tab and you will see an option “Automatically create Amelia Customer user”.

Enable this option and from that point each time when a new customer schedules the appointment he will automatically get the customer user role and an email with the username, URL link for setting the password, and a link to your booking form.

If someone is already a WordPress user, and they book an appointment for the first time in Amelia while logged in to WP, the customer created in Amelia will be connected to that WP user and the WP user will get the Amelia Customer role too.

Front-end Customer Panel allows you to offer your customers an easy way to track, reschedule and/or cancel their appointments and events. In the Customer Panel, customers can manage their personal details without logging into the WordPress backend.

Here you can find out more: https://wpamelia.com/front-end-customer-panel/.

If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Kind Regards,

What if a user abandons the customer journey after registering through Wordpress (i.e: WP Forms, which creates a user as an 'Amelia Customer') but doesn't immediately book a service/package?  I've just tested it and you can't login to the Amelia dashboard.

    Hello, Nick.

    Sorry for the waiting time.

If you activated the option to “Automatically create Amelia Customer user”,

in the back-end Amelia settings/ “Roles Settings”, on the Customer tab,

this option only works when a customer books something on the website through Amelia,

then it automatically creates a Customer in Amelia - but it also creates a new WordPress user adding Amelia Customer Role to that user,

and it also connects the Customer from Amelia with the WP user that has the same Email and has Amelia Customer Role.

    -

But if you just add a new WordPress user and give him the Amelia Customer Role,

this does not automatically create a new Customer in Amelia,

and it does not automatically connect the Customer with its WordPress User ( with same Email).

    -

If you need an automated system setup that can automatically add Amelia Customer Role to a new user registration,

but also to automatically create them as a Customer in Amelia ( without having to book something),

this is currently only possible through our BuddyBoss integration.

In this integration, there are a couple of options that you can use.

There is the option “Transform Subscribers to Amelia Customers” to automatically add the Amelia Customer role to each user that has the Subscriber role,

so if this is what you need you should check the option “Every user with the role of a subscriber will have the role of Amelia Customer added”.

There are two other options in connection to users here, for creating customers and employees in Amelia if there are users with these roles in the WordPress Users list, so by clicking on the Create Amelia Customers or Create Amelia Employees buttons, WP users that have these roles will be automatically created in Amelia as customers or employees accordingly.

Please check more about this integration here.

So only with the BuddyBoss integration and if you use the option to automatically create Customers in Amelia from WP users that have Amelia Customer Role,

then this user can see the Amelia back-end,

and they can also log in the Amelia Customer Panel on front-end,

but with other Plugins, it is not possible to automate it.

With the WP Forms, if you added the Amelia Customer Role to a WP user,

then you would manually have to add a Customer in Amelia, and connect this WP user to them.
