I was wondering if there were any way to limit the number of records any given user can create. I'm creating an application for teachers to use to keep track of student assessment results, but I'm worried that some of them may go overboard and create way too many records on the platform.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but at this time, we don't have a built-in feature to achieve this, but you can suggest it for our developers - they will do their best to make a solution in the future.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
-
If you need a solution for it now, maybe it can be done with a high level of custom work, but I am not sure, to be honest. Our developers are very busy at the moment, working on some priority tasks and fixing bugs and issues with our plugins, so they won't be having the time for custom work in the near future.
We can recommend reaching out to someone who does custom solutions, such as WP Kraken, but we can't advise on their pricing.
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I will make the recommendation on the suggestions page. Do you know of any plugins that have functionality like this or that can report on how many records are being created so that I can get notified if and when a teacher creates too many records?

Hi Milos,
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I will make the recommendation on the suggestions page. Do you know of any plugins that have functionality like this or that can report on how many records are being created so that I can get notified if and when a teacher creates too many records?
Thanks again! I love the plugins you guys create.
John
Hi, John
I am not aware of any plugin that can accomplish something like that, either to limit how many rows a user can create,
or to send you a report when they reach a certain number of rows.
I will just double-check with our senior 2nd level Team to see if they know any kind of a workaround to achieve this goal.
We will report back to confirm if there is something like that available in any way.
Thank you
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
