I've got a quick question about the google calendar integration, I suspect this is just a limitation of the integration but I wanted to ask to make sure. I am migrating a client over from using Acuity Scheduling to Amelia, their current google integration with Acuity adds busy slots from google onto the backend calendar view of Acuity.
I want to know if there is a way for busy slots in google calendar to be visible in the backend 'Calendar' view on Amelia. At the moment they are not visible, attached is a screenshot from both google calendar and amelia for 25th nov.
Just to make it clear, we are not using amelia on the frontend of the website currently just purely for admin bookings. The integration is working fine in terms of busy slots not being offered, I just want to know if we can get the busy slots to populate the amelia calendar view.
In settings/integations you have an option called Include Buffer time in Google events. If you enable this option buffer time for scheduled appointments will be added to the Google Calendar events.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.
Maybe I didn't explain myself very well but I think you've answered a different question. I understand what the 'Include Buffer Time' setting is for that isn't what I need.
I'm trying to find out if there is a way for 'Busy' events that are added into Google Calendar (not Amelia), to populate the Calendar view on the backend of Amelia. I know that busy events added into Google block out the time slot on the frontend of Amelia that is fine, but you can't actually see those busy slots from Google Calendar anywhere on the backend of Amelia.
Hopefully that makes more sense, the screenshots I attached in my first post should help.
Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. This is not possible to achieve since we have made the integration with them they did not make one with us.
So you can not show events created in the calendar in Amelia, you can only block the time slots from the calendar. This is how the integration works.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.
