You are correct.  Basically, regarding the search in selectbox/multiselectbox when Cascade Filtering is enabled;

that is not currently working combined with Cascade Filtering.

We have the plan to try to include that functionality in the future, 

but we can't say any realistic ETA on when it might be possible, since it will need a lot of development and testing before we are able to add that for Cascade Filtering.

You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
