Is there a way to insert a link that would automatically switch an appointment to approved when it is pending when I send the appointment reminder by email? Let me explain: when my client books an appointment, the appointment is on hold.
I send an email the day before, to ask for confirmation of appointment, and pass the appointment to "approved" manually.
I would like my client, just by clicking on a link, to be able to approve the appointment on her own, how can I do this?
- We are sorry to disappoint you, but we don't currently have any functionality that can accomplish sending a link with a "one click" change of the appointment status for the customer from pending to approved.
In fact, at this time we don't have any way to allow a customer to change appointment status from pending to approved, even from the Customer Panel - they can use the Panel to reschedule an approved appointment, or to cancel it,
but they can't approve it for themselves if we set default state to pending.
-
It is an interesting idea for future improvement, though,
so if you can be so kind to suggest it for our developers;
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

At this time, we just have an option to send a "cancellation" link for customers via notifications, to achieve a "one click cancel", but not for "approving".
2. But if you simply just want them to have a front-end Customer Panel,
and not have access to WP back-end, you can disable that previous setting, and just set up Customer Panel access.
( They can have both, or just one of the options - depending what you need)
-
Regarding setting up the front-end Customer Panel, please check this page with detailed instructions on how to enable the Panel;
set the page with a shortcode;
and how to implement the URL Access to the Customer Panel in the notifications for customers.
To add a placeholder to the notifications in which you want to send the Customer Panel URL, you can find it in the </> Show Email Placeholders on the email notifications page or you can just paste %customer_panel_url% placeholder.
- Here is an example screenshot:
I have set an automatic notification each time a customer books, and if it is Approved, they will get this %customer_panel_url% placeholder in the message. You can paste the placeholder as is, or you can wrap it inside a link text, as i did here.
-
Important to note, a customer can just reschedule to change the time of the appointment, or cancel the appointment,
but they can not delete it.
Only an Administrator can delete things in Amelia.
Let me know if that makes sense and if you have any questions. Thank you

Thank you for your feedback, how can a customer postpone or delete an appointment on their own? I don't know how to set this up...
Hi, Promsy
You're welcome, i am happy to help.

In regards to having customers able to reschedule their appointments,
1. If you want them to have access to WP back-end ( optional), you can enable them to automatically get a WP user created with Amelia Customer role,
in Amelia settings/Role settings/Customer :
then they can log in the WP back-end and handle their appointments there;
( You can see more details on how Amelia Customer Role works here)
2. But if you simply just want them to have a front-end Customer Panel,
and not have access to WP back-end, you can disable that previous setting, and just set up Customer Panel access.
( They can have both, or just one of the options - depending what you need)
