From the front-end(customer panel), when a user would try to cancel an appointment that is already within the minimal period allowed it would be redirect to a url of my choice. Now when the users are already within the minimal period they won't even see the "edit" button next to their booking. Considering I have a Cancelation and Refund policy for my business, I need them to be redirected to that url set under Settings>Notifications>Failed Cancelation Link.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features. You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
I believe I might not have been clear or what I'm meaning. Please see the attached screenshot. The red circled option is in the notification settings and it refers to the redirecting URL for when a cancelation fails due to exceeding the allowed period.
As I mentioned, and I tested it before, in the past before I updated the plugin, when I would try to cancel an appointment from the front-end that had already exceeded the cancelation period it would redirect me to the URL set on this setting.
But now I'm confused. Do you mean that this option never existed?
My apologies for the misunderstanding, I thought you were referring to cancelations from the email notifications. In regards to the customer panel canceling when the "Minimum time required for canceling" has been exceeded, that is how it always works as it does not allow customers to even see the cancel button when that is not possible from their end.
Hope this helps you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks for getting back to me but unfortunately your reply doesn't solve it all. So if this is how it works then I'd like to ask, what is this setting for(Please see screenshot attached)?
It reads "URL to which the user will be redirected in case the appointment can not be canceled due to value 'Minimal time period allowed before cancelation'"
So, considering that this is an available setting then my question is, how or when would the user get redirected to this URL?
This option is available for the cancellation link in the email, and when the customer tries to cancel an appointment through that link in the email, they will be prompted to the URL specified in the "Unsuccessful Cancellation Redirect URL" option if the cancellation was unsuccessful.
Hope this helps you.
