Hi. We are a team of three coaches in different timezones looking for a booking system that allows a customer to search a coach or all coaches for availability in their timezone (with us being able to separately block out times we are each not available) , and to handle the ability to prepay for a package of sessions and then book each one at later dates. Does your Amelia support this as standard?

    Hello Chris

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Amelia is linked to the time zone you configure in your WordPress General Settings. However, each employee you create has his/her own "Time Zone" section:

So, each employee can configure his/hers work hours based on the time zone you set here. They can configure their work hours through the front-end employee panel.

There's no way you can indicate which time zone each employee operates in, but you can rename them or configure different pages for different time zones.

Option 1 (renaming): You can create an employee with the name "Chris Williams (California)"; then create a new employee "John Doe (New Mexico)", and the third employee "Jane Doe (New York)". This way, people would know the time zone of each employee they can select from the employee drop-down before they book.

Option 2 (pages): You can create 3 buttons on your home page "California", "New Mexico" and "New York", and then create 3 separate booking pages. So, button 1 (California) would lead to another page where you'd set the shortcode like [ameliastepbooking employee=1], and on this page, only Chris would work in California's Time zone. Another button would lead to another page, where the shortcode would be [ameliastepbooking employee=2], where John would work only in New Mexico's time zone, and so on.

In Amelia/Customize section you can enable the "Time Zone visibility", so the customers see their time zone when booking an appointment.

If you want to create Packages, you'll need to obtain Pro or Developer license plan of Amelia (since Packages are not included in the Basic plan). Once you configure the package to include X number of appointments, you can configure that the minimum number of bookings is 0, and the maximum number of bookings is 0, so your customers will only purchase the package but they will have the freedom to book appointments within that package later on, through the front end customer panel.

    Kind Regards,

Thanks for the reply. Is there a demo with this packages feature already in place?

Just to confirm also, if time visibility is on, then customers will see availability in their local time? We don't need them to know where the coach is, as long as they see availability relative to their local time.

    Hey Chris.

If you go to https://sports.wpamelia.com/ and click on "Book Appointment", you can select one of the services (for example, Bikram Yoga), and when you click on "Continue", the plugin will offer one of the packages that include this service:

If you enable the Time Zone in the form, the customer will see his/her local time. So, for example, if your employee is in UTC-6 and the customer is in UTC-8; if the employee has available time slots at 12:00 (UTC-6), the customer will see a time slot at 10:00 (UTC-8).

    Hope that helps.
