Hi Devs,
From my understanding, WP Cron jobs only run when a user hits the website .. Thus if there are no website visits, WP Cron never runs. From my testing this certainly seems accurate. Is there a solution to this? Because I would really like my clients to receive the scheduled notifications whether or not there is currently activity on my site. Any suggestions welcome.
Kind regards,
Sebastian
Hello Sebastian,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We think that WP Cron works in that way but since it is not our product you need to contact WP support team or your hosting provider.
Cron is not Amelia's feature cron is a WordPress feature. You can use cron with Amelia, but setting cron is not part of Amelia's support because it is not our feature. If your cron is not working and you cannot set it up, you need to contact your hosting provider so that they can set up cron for you.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic [email protected]
