    Dear Team,

    we would need the possibility to let the customer chose if they want to book any service either locally or online via zoom meetings.

    Would it be possible to set one location "LOCAL" and one location "ONLINE"  (maybe you already have planned that for the near future)?

    If that's not planned (or would not work for any reason), would it be possible to add another "layer" of categories.
    As an example, I think it could fit our needs if we define categories like that:

    Category "Local" -> Category "Service Type A" -> Service 1
    Category "Local" -> Category "Service Type A" -> Service 2
    ......

    Category "Local" -> Category "Service Type B" -> Service 1
    Category "Local" -> Category "Service Type B" -> Service 2
    ......

    Category "Online" -> Category "Service Type A" -> Service 1
    Category "Online" -> Category "Service Type A" -> Service 2
    ......

    Category "Online" -> Category "Service Type B" -> Service 1
    Category "Online" -> Category "Service Type B" -> Service 2
    ......

    Hello Jürgen Link,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    You can set up multiple locations in two ways.

    1. If, for example, you have a physical and an online location and you want the employee to work at both locations at the same time, you can set it in employee working hours like this

    8236274637.png

    You should know that when an employee is booked at one location, he will not be available for booking at other locations during the period of time while appointment lasts.

    2. If you want employees to be available at all times for booking at both locations, in that case you need to create two or more employees who will work only at one location on that service. And in that way, they will be able to book the same timeslots at the same time.

    If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.

    We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,

    Marko Davidovic [email protected]

    Hi Marko,

    thank you for the response.

    Can you please explain your suggested solution number 1? As far as I can see there is no way to connect a location to zoom. This ois only possible via employees and service settings, right?

    So as far as I understand, if we want to give our customers the choice to book each of our services as a local appointment OR a Zoom meeting, we have to create a 'dublicate' of every service in the backend. Or am I missing something?

    Hi, Jürgen

    We will clarify a bit more.

    What Marko suggested for solution number 1,

    there is no way to connect a Zoom Account to a Location, but you will make a  "fictive" location, and name it anything you wish, like "Zoom Meeting Location".

    Here you can see an example how we set this up on our Sports Demo, and you can also go to the Demo to test this out.

    Here is the front end page

    ;  and here the back-end.

    -

    Basically, we just added three locations,   two of them are real, and we connected them via Google API, to Maps.

    But this third one, we just named "Zoom Meeting".

    4792169428.png
    3794627590.png

    Then, we add this Location for employee working hours.

    1104499630.png

    And, when we connected the employee to a Zoom account -

    but also we have to integrate which service is going to be creating Zoom meetings for its appointments.

    So in the Service settings/integrations/ we enable Zoom ( only for online services, for in person we disable Zoom)

    4148604355.png

    -

    So, you are correct, in regards to having one appointment as online meeting via Zoom,

    and another in person,

    you have to separate this into two services - one integrated with Zoom, the other not integrated.smile.png

    We can not have one/same service, with a selection to have Zoom for some appointments, and for some not;

    -

    But we can assign same employee to both services, of course.

    Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks

    Kind Regards,

    Dear Milos,

    thanks for your reply. This is how I understood the suggestion and what I found out myself.
    Sadly, this is not a suitable solution for us.

    As I wrote before, we would need to have the local/zoom option for EVERY single service.

    With you solution we would end up with the following Category/Service structure:

    Category  Name 1 Local -> 5 Services

    Category Name  1 Online -> 5 Services

    Category Name  2 Local -> 5 Services

    Category Name  2 Online -> 5 Services

    Category Name  3 Local -> 5 Services

    Category Name  3 Online -> 5 Services

    Category Name  4 Local -> 5 Services

    Category Name  4 Online -> 5 Services

    We think this is looking very confusing for our customers and the opening drop-down field would be too big.

    Another possible solution we thought about would be the category filter inside a shortcode. But as far as I can see, it gives you only the possiblity to select one category. Is there any way to filter multiple categories, for example: [ameliastepbooking category="6,11,12"] ?

    Hi, Jürgen

    You are correct.

    I am sorry, but at the moment there is no way to have the same service dynamically switch for some appointments to "enabled Zoom", and some other appointments to have "disabled Zoom".

    When we connect a service to Zoom,  all its appointments will create Zoom meetings;

    or If we disconnect a service from Zoon - it will have no Zoom meetings generated.

    -

    So, for example, if we had one service - we would have to split it into two.

    Service version with Zoom,   and Service version without Zoom.

    - And there is no way to integrated a Location with Zoom meetings > they can only be connected to services at the moment.

    -

    If you have an idea how we might improve this,

    please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page

     to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

    and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    2.

    Regarding categories,

    i am sorry to disappoint you on that point as well,

    at the moment we don't have any way to group multiple categories in a shortcode.

    We can only specify one category via shortcode - or all categories.

    -

    Our developers are redesigning the Category booking view, though, i believe that we will launch a new redesigned version,

    but i can't say an exact ETA on it.

    Should be one of the future updates, and i hope that you will find better solutions, in terms of layout, dropdowns, etc.

    -

    And same goes if you have ideas how we can improve the Categories in general, please don't hesitate to add your suggestions for our developers, and they will do their best to devise solutions in the future.
