Select multiple slots at the same time

Good morning, thank you very much for your wonderful plugin. I have already purchased two licenses.

I would need to have clients be able to select two (but not more than two) appointment slots at the same time. I understand that I am asking for something not currently planned, but in case it is possible can you tell me if there is any hook or any direction to give to a possible developer?

I would need this urgently, so I wanted to see if it is feasible somehow or if I need to use a different plugin.

Another thing: If I set the duration of the appointment slots to 20 minutes, the events automatically have 20-minute slots as well. I would need to make it so that appointments and events can have two different time slots.

    I thank you in advance

    Jay

    Hello Jay,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

What you described can be achieved either by using our "Packages of Services" feature ( which can allow booking multiple services at the same time, and is only available for Pro or higher licenses) , or by setting the "Extras" on the services settings.

We would suggest for your situation the "extras".

You can set up the time slot for one hour, and you can add extras to that services for example: if your appointment is by default one hour but the client wants an appointment of two or three hours he can add one or two extras (one or two appointments for one hour) to the default appointment. By selecting these extras, your Customers will be able to change the Service duration to 2-3-4 hours.

Here is our documentation about this here.

If you want to create a 5-minute, 10-minute, 15-minute, etc. Service and you only see 30-minute, 1hr, 1:30 durations, or you want your employee to work from 09:15 - 10:20 all you need to do is change the Default Time Slot step in Amelia's General Settings:

    1442948227.png

The Time Slot Step applies to all times in Amelia (Service durations, buffer times, employee's working hours and breaks), and if you want to shorten the duration, you need to change the Default Time Slot step.

For example, if you want a 45-minute service, a 1-hour long service, and a 10-minute long service, you need to set the default time slot step to "5 minutes" because all times in Amelia need to be dividable by the default time slot step (you can add 15-minute time slot step, but in that case, you won't be able to make a 10-minute long service).

If you need some further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

    Have a nice day!

    Kind Regards,

Hi Stanislav, thank you very much for your reply and sorry I am only responding now.

May I ask you what is the difference between the Extras solution you proposed and the "Custom Service Duration"? Because I saw that I can set the custom service duration directly from the service, and users before choosing date and time can choose, in my case, if they want to set a 20 or 40 minutes appointment.

Does it work the same way?

If yes, is there anyway to hide the price from the select dropdown? Because our appointments are free and they don't really like it saying (€ 0.00).

I take the opportunity to ask another question: can I link my operators (there are 6 in all) to the same Google account but linking different Google calendars?

Thank you very much in advance! You are very kind!

    Dear Jay,

    You are welcome,

The custom duration gives you the ability to offer a single Service with multiple durations your customers can choose from, define different prices for these durations, and define different prices for those durations per employee.

You can find out more here: https://wpamelia.com/custom-service-duration/

    >If yes, is there anyway to hide the price from the select dropdown? Because our appointments are free and they don't really like it saying (€ 0.00).

Please send me a screenshot of where you want to hide it and a link to your booking page and I will help you with some custom CSS.

    >I take the opportunity to ask another question: can I link my operators (there are 6 in all) to the same Google account but linking different Google calendars?

Currently, there is no such feature built-in. You can only have one google account per person. You can connect each employee to their own calendar but one person can not have multiple Google calendars. You can read more about the Google Calendar at the following link https://wpamelia.com/configuring-google-calendar/.

When you have questions or issues which are not related to the title of the active ticket, please open a new ticket, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily. Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Look forward to your reply.

    Have a great weekend!
