    Hi,

My client points out to me that she no longer has the possibility, as an admin, to be able to make an appointment at any time.

I checked the settings and this option is enabled (see. Screenshot).

For example, if I want to create an appointment outside working hours or which would overflow into a lunch time (a 4 hours appointment between 9 a.m. and noon), the time slot is not available (see screenshot).

    Cordially,
    Christophe

    Hello Christophe and Math,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

With the option Allow admin to book at any time you can book outside the regular appointment hours but you can not book during the employee break.

What you can do is not ti use the break option, instead create employee working hours in 2 parts. For example

    08-11 and 12-15

This is why this will not count as a break only as free time in between and you should be able to book in those time slots but in case you do not have any appointments your employee will still have free time between 11 and 12.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,

    Marko Davidovic

    Hi Marko,

Thank you for the kick reply.

My client's installation is in French so I'm a bit lost.
When you talk about break option are you talking about the working hours and days off panel located in the settings? (here between 9 am and noon and 1 pm and 5 pm).

By the way, I have another question raised by my client.
Is it possible to hide the hours outside the work slots in the schedule and the drop-downs for selecting the hours. It's really annoying. (see screenshot)

It would be a great UX feature to be able to select a range of times to display or, even better, automatically calculate times to display the hours based on working time and extra hours (for example an event) if there are any.

    Regards,
    Christophe

    Hello Christophe,

When you have several questions or issues, please open a new ticket, and we will help you there.

In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily.

Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.

    Thank you for understanding.

You can temporarily change the WordPress to English and Amelia will be translated also and after that, you can just change the WordPress to French.

Yes, you need to set it like this for example in employee working hours

    4107240685.png

Do not create breaks but only to work periods 08-12, 14-15 for example.

This is how Amelia looks and works when you enable and allow admin to book at any time. It shows time slots from 00.00 to 24.00. If you disable this option you will see only the working hours that you have set up in employee working hours and it will be shorter.

If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Hi Marko,

Understood I will ask my second question in another ticket because I do not understand how to deactivate the time slot between 00.00 and 24.00. Thanks anyway for responding.

Regarding the main question, I am skeptical for 2 reasons:
    1. The client had no problems before the last update and no settings have changed. Before, she was able, as an admin, to create "absent" appointments at any time, which allowed her to prevent customers from making appointments if she had to be absent.

    2. If I modify the hours of availability of an employee, this means that customers can also make an appointment at these times. it isn t? Doesn't seem logical to me.

    Regards,
    Christophe

    Hello Christophe,

I do not understand how to deactivate the time slot between 00.00 and 24.00. Thanks anyway for responding. - You can deactivate the allow admin to book at any time option in Amelia/settings/role settings

I don't understand what you are asking exactly.

For example, you have the working hours from 08:00 to 17:00 - 08:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00.
You set a break from 12 to 14 for example.

Working hours without an "official break" have an identical purpose if you set them in two parts

from 08 to 12 and then for the second part from 14 to 17, for example

    7509969366.png

The employee again has a break from 12 to 14 and he does not work for those 2 hours and the customer cannot book at that time.

While the admin should be able to book because it is not an official break.

    Hope this explains it.

If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Hello Marko,

For the question about the calendar I had finally understood in between but I need to keep this option activated.
So it's a UX problem (the calendar should automatically scroll to either the curent time or the first working hour) But I have open another thicket for it.

Before the last update my client, as admin, was able to book an appointment at anytime.
At some time she need to be out of office so to prevent her clients being able to book an appointment when she is absent I created special services called "absent" (only accessible from the admin panel).

What you propose to me to do is, it seems to me, already what I have. That's why I don't understand.
I give you both the Employee working hours and the general working hours in screenshots.

    For the opening hours of the company I may have to change 9.00 - 12.00 | 13.00 - 17.00 by 9.00 - 17.00 ?

But it doesn't tell me why it wasn't a problem before.

    Regards,
    Christophe

    Hello Christophe,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Our developers have changed the logic of Amelia and now it works like this. As far as we understand, everything is now as it should be regarding booking booking the "employee" break.

We wish you all the best.
