    Hello,

It was impossible for my clients to make an appointment online on my site.

I could see and set appointments manually.

I removed the plugin and installed the new update. Unfortunately following this manipulation I lost all my appointments.

Before, I did it like this and my appointments were saved on your server.

Can you help me please. I don't know who's coming tomorrow or who to book appointments with

    Hi, Gianni

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Kind Regards,

    Miloš Jovanović

Hello. I’m waiting for your answer and 5 days without agenda.

Every day I tell all the customers to call back tomorrow.  Some of our regular clients go to have their hair done elsewhere since we don't make an appointment for them. Since Thursday I have made 950k views on Instagram, interested people who wish to make an appointment cannot.  Some call but have to say, "Call back tomorrow, our schedule is broken and we're waiting for support to respond." This has been going on for 5 days!

Also I have to pay my workers to work full days with gaps in the agenda.

The situation seems very urgent to me!!!

It is essential that you answer me as soon as possible, otherwise I have to notify all my clients by email that all appointments are canceled and leave with a new agenda.

If nothing changes today, I will not fail to make a video on social networks to share my experience with my community (I'm a trainer).

    Cordially.

    Hi, Gianni

Fistly, my sincerest apologies for all the waiting time.

I can see that this has a heavy impact on the business, and am truly sorry to see that.

I have installed the PhpMyAdmin WP plugin on your site, and i checked your WordPress database.

We don't store any of your data on our servers,

but it is actually stored on the database of your hosting server.

I can see that there are no rows of data in the Amelia appointments table, and no servises in the Amelia categories table in your WordPress database.

I have to point out that Amelia is not capable of deleting any database tables,

unless if we leave the "delete Amelia tables" option checked in Amelia settings/Activation settings,

    and if we manually delete the plugin from the WP plugin list;

and the only other way to delete Amelia tables in your database is if someone logs in your hosting database management software and manually deletes your Amelia appoitments and Categories tables.

I have raised this to the absolutely highest urgency within our Team  and we will do everything we can to advise you how you might get this data back.

Do you know, do you have any kind of a backup of your site and database from the moment before you lost the data?

You could ask your hosting support if they can help you check if you have any backup copy of the WordPress database and help you revert back to it.

I will get additional help from our 2nd level Team.

Could you grant us temporary access to your database, ( either a link with credentials for PhPMyAdmin,

    or access to cPanel),

and access to your FTP server?

Of course, if you send us any credentials, make sure to mark reply as Private.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello Milos,

My host has 24/7 support, they got back to me at 10:30pm in 5 minutes and restored my site for me.

I wouldn't upgrade to Amelia 5.3 because that's what crashed everything.

Too bad you weren't as responsive as my host. I stayed 5 days without a diary. I lost new customers (978K views on Instagram), regular customers had to go elsewhere to help out (since for 5 days we told them to call back tomorrow), and in addition I paid my workers not to work. I'm disappointed.

    Hi, Gianni

I am truly sorry for the response times.

I understand that your hosting provides 24/7 support, but we are not able to provide such coverage,

we work from 8 AM until 7 PM on Belgrade, Serbia Time Zone,

and we don't work on weekends, which additionally adds two days of waiting time.

    -

We have been receiving an unusual number of new tickets in the previous several days,

which led to more waiting time than usual,

but I don't wish to give you any excuses,   and I can completely understand why you feel that way.

    -

To focus on the cause of this issue,

it did not come from Amelia.

As I said, Amelia is not capable of deleting anything in your database.

The database is stored on your hosting server.

I am not sure exactly what happened to cause this,

but am happy to see that the backup version brought the database tables back, with your appointments/services data.

    -

Can you please tell me, when you were doing the update of Amelia, did you double-check this,

     in Amelia settings/Activation tab/'Delete Amelia content' ,

was this setting unchecked, disabled ?

    7299464523.png

If you had this checked/enabled,  than it would explain how all your Amelia tables got deleted,

if you manually went to deactivate + delete Amelia from the plugin list after that?

    -

But if you can confirm if that was the case?

    -  If not , then the only other way might be that someone has somehow deleted the Amelia tables in your database manually, from the server.

    -

If I understand, the update to 5.3  made a crash on your site,

and now the backup has reverted it to 5.2  version?

    -

In any case, it seems from our end that the front-end looks OK.

I am unable to log in the WP-Admin again to check the version, seems that the credentials have changed,

but I have confirmation from our developers that there are a couple of bugs in version 5.3 ,

which are being fixed ,  and we should roll out the fixes with the upcoming Update  next week.

    -

If your site is functioning as it is right now, with this version of Amelia, we suggest to keep it this way,

and when the new version 5.4  comes out,

we recommend to update,  and to be safe it is best to make another backup right before the update.

Also make sure to check that the setting in Amelia settings/Activation tab/'Delete Amelia content'  is disabled/unchecked,

and also purge all cache after updating, which is very important.

    -

We will also be here to support you, and to make sure everything runs OK.

Let me know if you have any questions, and if there is anything we should assist with at the moment, and I hope that your bookings are functioning without issues with the current state of the site?

    Thank you

    Kind Regards,
