We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hello,
Every time I try to send a test email through the notification panel I get a 'email not sent', and it gives me a 500 internal server error.
I tried both with an OVH mail with simple user-pass and with a Google gmail, creating an app pass following your docs.
This morning was working as it should, with the OVH mail. I don't think I changed anything related. Any suggestions?
Thanks
With a mail by Google Workspace I get the following 500 internal server error message:
message"SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting"Hello Paolo,
I'm afraid that we didn't quite get how the issue look like exactly? Can you explain to us in a little more detail, and send us a couple of screenshots? Or a short one minute video maybe?
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic [email protected]

I'm trying to configure the SMTP mail service for Gmail, following the guide in this link https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/article/18058/
I hope I've been clearer this time
Looking for your answer,
thanks
Hello Paolo,
The 500 Internal Server Error is a server-side error, meaning the problem probably isn't with your computer, Internet connection or plug-ins but instead is a problem with the website's server.
Can you please investigate your server log and see if there is some errors in console and network? And if there are please send a couple of screenshots so that we can take a look.
Also please check once more if the password that you have set up is correct.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic [email protected]

Hello Marko,
I checked with the hosting provider and they confirmed they block port 587 by default and it can't be opened.
He told me to use port 465 instead but I tried and it doesn't work.
As you said it's a server problem, thank you anyway for the help
Hello Paolo,
That is strange beacuse most people in the world use that port. Can they unblock it?
You can use 465 SSL also but if that doesn't work they need to enable the 587 port.
The most commonly used SMTP Ports are 465 and 587. Port 465 uses “SSL” as SMTP Secure, while port 587 uses “TLS” as SMTP Secure. Make sure to check what the correct SMTP settings are for your mailing provider.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic [email protected]
