Data Table from ACF Repeater Field

Hello! Is it possible to dynamically create a data table based on content in an Advanced Custom Fields repeater field? Or even an Advanced Custom Fields User field (with multiple users specified)?

I have a custom post type that can have multiple users associated with it (not as authors) and it would be great to have a data table that listed out meta data associated with each user.

    Hi, Andy

Thanks for reaching out to us

    -

I am sorry to disappoint you, but we don't have a native built-in integration with a plugin such as ACF,

so pulling data from that plugin into wpDataTables would have to be done only with MySQL query-based tables.

Please note: Using this plugin feature requires at least a basic knowledge of SQL. It is assumed that you can create the table in some MySQL data manager (e.g., PHPMyAdmin, MySQL Workbench), and prepare a SQL query that will return the data you need. If you do not know how to use MySQL, refer to the “Create a MySQL-query-based table by generating a query to MySQL database” section. It will explain how to create complete tables or MySQL queries without this basic knowledge. Please be advised that preparing MySQL queries for you is not included in the plugin support.

If you wish to see an integration with ACF in the future, please make a suggestion for our developers.

Please feel free to search on our suggestions page

to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there,  and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

The only other thing i can note in regards to "repeater fields" that i encountered before,

we had another ticket when users asked about our native integration with Formidable Forms, since they also have a repeater fields feature.

    -

Unfortunately, repeater fields from Formidable Forms cannot be correctly added in wpDataTables, so you we are not able to use them at this time.

Each repeater field would be saved as a new/separate Form when it gets passed to our tables.

Right now, this is a limitation we have - but our developers will do their best to make an improvement in the future.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you

    Kind Regards,
