I'm using Amelia a lot and I've found a good solution to show my events with the 'Calendar View', hiding with CSS the calendar itself and maintaining only the list.
I like that I can click on the events and see a pop-up coming (which is not the case of the 'List view').
However I noticed that on the 'Calendar View' the events which are not open yetare not visibile. Is it possible to make this event appearing and readable anyway?
If not - solution n.2 would be keeping the 'List view' but instead of having the dropdown info, having the same pop-up as the 'Calendar View' when I click the single event. Would that be possible?
I'm trying to explain with screens, is not that easy but I'll do my best ahah
At the moment I like this disposition (pic.1) -> is the calendar view but Ive hide the calendar itself with the css. It remains this list which I like cause when I click on the event, it pop-up the description and the image is big (pic 2). However calendar view doesn't show the events which are "Coming soon" and for us it's important to have them listed.
Solution n.2 would be having the list mode (pic.3) - this shows the 'Coming soon' events (pic4 - yellow labelled event) as we like, so people can read the infos and be aware of the event even if the booking is not open yet - but I don't really like that clicking on the event you have a drop-down (pic5) (also, the image is small and square). I rather have the same pop-up action you have on the calendar view.
Let me know if it's clear! Hope we can find a solution ;)
Firstly our sincere apologies for the waiting time.
We can see what you mean, on your site, it is not correctly showing the Calendar View, the "Upcoming Events" element is missing,
we had a case like this before - i am guessing you use Elementor maybe, as the page builder?
Can you try to decrease the width of the main Calendar, then there should be enough room on the page, and the "Upcoming Events" should show up automatically, on the side?
-
If you're not sure how to do that, or maybe if that is not the case, as i guessed,
we can take a closer look at how you setup/built the page.
If you can allow us Admin access, and send me a link to the Event Calendar page?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

2.
I can see what you mean,
but currently, we are not able to make the same Pop Up as it behaves for the Event Calendar,
to be like this for the Event List.
For the Event List, we can only expand it to see more details.
-
I will suggest for us to focus on resolving the point number 1, and let's see, i am confident that we should be able to help you resolve the Calendar View, to show with Upcoming Events.
Let me know if you use Elementor, and if you succeed to manipulate the Calendar Elementor container?
It seems to me that there was a misunderstanding between Milos and you. You told us in the initial comment that you hid the Calendar using custom CSS, and that you're left with the "Upcoming events" section, but what he seems to have understood is that you're missing the "Upcoming events" section altogether.
What I understand is that you like the popup of events when you click on one of the events from the "Upcoming events" section, and that's the only reason why you decided not to use the [ameliaevents type=list] (because it expands in a drop-down instead of the popup).
Unfortunately, currently, we can neither show more than 5 upcoming events in the "calendar view", nor can we implement the popup logic for the "list view".
Our developers will, however, add a task to allow you to select the number of "Upcoming events" through the Customize section for one of our upcoming updates (most likely 2nd one from now, but I can't make any promises).
As we're about to redesign the "list view", we won't be making any changes to the current form, but we will add a task to bring up a popup in the list view as well in the new form.
I understand this is somewhat bad news for you, but at this time, there's nothing we can do to make it work the way you want.
Firstly, my sincere apologies for the waiting time.
We have confirmation for this.
The reason why you can't see Full and Upcoming events is that the "Upcoming events" only show events that customers are able to book on the day they are looking at the page.
So, if you're looking at the page on October 12th, and there's an event scheduled for October 14th, but the booking opens on October 13th, you won't be able to see that event in the Upcoming events section.
The same logic applies to full events - if a customer can't book that event, it won't be displayed.
At the moment, the only thing you can do is either use the Calendar view which you don't like or use the List view which doesn't have the popup animation, which you do like. Again, we understand that this is a bit disappointing, but at the moment, there's nothing we can do.
We will definitely forward your suggestions to our developers (I'm sure Aleksandar already did),
so they can work on this when they redesign the Events List view.
I just got another confirmation from our developers,
basically, they are doing a re-design of all the Form types.
For the Events List, it is definitely going to be as a pop-up , so I wanted to pass the good news for you.
We just have to wait until the developers have fully tested everything out, and when they are finished, they will launch the new, redesigned Event List View.
I can't say an exact ETA, but it will be stated in our changeLog page, and we will also create blogs about our updates going forward.
Let me know how that seems, and if you have any questions. Thanks
