Here is the request: We have helped create an event/volunteer portal solution for the non-profit World Salmon Council on their Word Press site, using the WP Amelia plugin. We bootleg it for use so that the role default labeled 'employee' on the app is for teachers, and the role default labeled 'customer' is for volunteers. We have limited the 'cutomers' (volunteers) to 4 slots per event. (Each slot should be for a different volunteer specialization. We have a fairly simple but critical add. We need an additional form field with a drop-down for the volunteers that reads 'Station'. The dropdown would have four station types, and have a cap to only be selected for that event (each event) 1 time--so that we get 1 of each of the 4 different volunteer types.
Note: Please note that the stations 1,2,3,4 will be updated to their appropriate titles this evening:
1. Salmon Biology Station 2. Riparian Ecology Station 3. Macroinvertebrate Station 4. Water Quality Station
We are attempting this for our client, and the issue is the JS is compressed, and this should be a simple task and is not. Some guidance would be appreciated.
I have reached out to WP Kraken who is your dev partner and they are booked till October. The issue is this was suppose to be completed today for the client but we keep hitting road blocks.
We are not sure that we have understood 100% what you want to achieve, but we will try to help you as best as we can.
If we understood correctly, you want, for example, station 1 to be displayed as unavailable when a volunteer books it. If that is the case, we have a better solution for you than a custom field.
Create a ticket in the pricing part of the event. There you can create 4 different tickets and you can set that the capacity for that ticket is 1 and when someone books one ticket in station 1 only 3 other options will remain avaliable.
As for the translation in the backend, you can do it through the .po file with the help of Poedit.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.
I forgot to mention If you already have our licenses, please write to us in the Amelia category. The reason we ask you to do this is that there has been a lot of abuse.
Because if the license has expired and the subscription has not been renewed, these users do not have access to our support, the same applies to licenses that are purchased through Envato.
Licenses purchased through Envato have access to our support for only 6 months when that time period has to elapse they have to contract Envato to extend the time for support.
