The editing area of a table does not load. The load spinner just keeps going.
I am getting this message up in the wp area: wpDataTables integration for Forminator Forms is an add-on - please install and activate wpDataTables (Free or Premium) and Forminator Forms (Free or PRO) to be able to use it!
This issue might be caused by some kind of bootstrap/js conflict between our plugin and something else on site - such as current theme, or another plugin.
I would advise first to try this, if you can , please.
Can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved?
If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for our plugin,
purge all cache of the site, then refresh the page where the issue is, and see if the issue stops.
If it does, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue comes back.
Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.
-
Please let me know if you find the issue.
If not - i can remotely log in to take a look.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I can see there is an Ajax error 500 , when the issue happens - same behaviour for all existing tables, and if i try to create a new one > when it should open the table editor screen > it gives us this error.
I inspected some details - but am still not sure what is the root of this.
Could you try to update the plugin to the latest version - i can see you have version 4.4 ?
I will escalate this with our 2nd level Team, to get a second opinion, we will also get help from developers if needed.
-
Would you be able to provide us with a staging site, along with WP-admin (Administrator) user, FTP, and the database, so our developers can debug the plugin, and see what's going on?
If you're not able to provide us with a staging site, can you clone your website?
If yes - I'll ask you to install the Duplicator plugin. It will generate a couple of files that you can send me (along with the log-in credentials), and then I can create an exact copy of your website, see what the issue is and try to resolve it.
The Duplicator plugin can export only up to 500MB of data, so if your site is bigger than that, please use the All-in-One WP Migration plugin.
Please note that the files will be too large to attach to the ticket, so you can upload them via wetransfer.com and just send me the link.
I have updated the plugin to the latest version for you.
-
But we can see this issue that you described, none of the existing tables show any rows, as if the plugin truly can't read any data from the database for them
I tried to install WP PhPMyAdmin on your site, to check the database, but i got this error :
-
Could you please provide us access to the database, so that we can check the tables there?
- We need either an access link with credentials to your database; or access to cPanel.
- Yes, at this point you will have a couple of different options to choose what will be best/easiest for you.
1. As you said - you could delete all these tables from the plugin's list > and just create new tables;
if you do this > and if you want to save time from building all the data again;
i suggest to go into your database, find these tables as i did; and export them as CSV.
Then you can use "import method" as explained on our Documentation here, you can basically just follow the steps. This will import the data from CSV and make new Manual tables from each CSV.
2.
Or, you can just change the prefix of this database, to match what the plugin "has remembered previously while the tables where working".
You can download the Change Table Prefix plugin, which can easily change the database's prefix.
The most important thing to note here is, whatever you decide, for the future > if you already made any tables, and later on if you change something like database name/prefix, or merge/migrate things;
something like this might happen > since the plugin will try to pull something from "non existent database".
I hope we explained that correctly.Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks

Hi, Todd
Our QA testers helped me to take another look.
We had another user with a same issue - for him, the solution was to double-check that Forminator was installed.
In your case - the Forminator is not installed, you only have wpDataTables, and integration with Forminator, but not the actual Forminator plugin.
Can you please install the Forminator plugin, and then also update the wpDataTables to the latest version?
Purge all cache when you finish - and let me know if the issue is fixed?
Thank you

can we delete the plugins and databases and start over?
I can get the data from a collegue.
