Is it by design that the addition of an attendee through the admin back-end doesn't create a payment request using the configured payment gateway? This seems incorrect. Or at the least, it should be an option to send payment request to the customer.
The reason we would need to add attendees from the back end is because some customers are averse to online booking systems. But we should be able to generate the standard email/SMS notification confirming banking details or a link to a payment service for cards, etc.
At the moment, there is no option to use any of the online payment methods when booking an appointment or event from the back-end as only on-site is allowed to be chosen.
Our developers are working on implementing this in one of the future updates, but there is no ETA at the moment.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
