I brought this up in the past and am a bit disappointed that neither of the last two updates provide a fix.
Past events cannot be hidden, nor canceled.
They are in the calendar forever. There is no option to hide past events and if we want to delete past events, we first have to cancel them which sends a cancellation notification to past customers.
I believe this would be very important for everyone using events.
I schedule many events with Amelia and love it, but my customers frequently contact me because they confuse past, already closed events with current events. All events are visible in the calendar forever. It should be possible to hide them and also to delete them without sending cancellation emails to past customers. It also is very uncomfortable to basically have a list of all our past events with attendee numbers publicly displayed on our website.
Being able to hide the number of participants or even better only show the number once a certain number of spots are left would also be great.
Since our developers are constantly working on developing and implementing new features, it takes time for some modifications to be added to the update. In regards to the event deletion, I have passed this to our management to prioritize this task for one of the future updates.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Hello, I just wanted to follow up. There have been several updates in the meantime and still no way to delete/not show past events. There should be an option to not show past events by default. It's a real problem for us. Any idea when it's gonna happen?
Hello Uroš, it has been over a year with countless updates, but the past events still can't be hidden. It's really bad for user experience. I almost daily have people reaching out, asking why events are closed because they are looking at the wrong week. Also, are there any plans to make a more mobile and user-friendly calendar for events? On mobile, the calendar looks horrible. That's another reason why people confuse the dates. The new events list doesn't make it better either because the individual events on mobile have a large height and if we have lots of events they take up too much of the screen.
Hello Uroš, it's great that there is a new event calendar but very dissapointing that it's still not possible to hide past events, as far as I can see. There is really no reason whatsover to show past events. I am not the only one who needs this feature: https://features.wpamelia.com/688
It's really confusing to customers to have the option to select past events. They are simply not relevant.
Thank you for the update on the new event calendar. We missed the last response as the ticket was closed, but I appreciate the efforts being made.
I completely understand your frustration about not being able to hide past events. While we do have an option to filter events based on status, there is currently no way to only display ongoing and future events, which can indeed be confusing for customers. Many users, including myself, have expressed the need for this feature, and I hope it will be implemented in the near future.
Thank you for your patience as we work towards improving this functionality!
It does hide the cancelled events but breaks the page function. I ended up with a blank page with only a "canceled" event visible, and then only on the 2nd page were the open events visible.
To make sure that Gerhard does not receive notifications for each response in this ticket, can you please create a separate one and we will assist you with it there.
I am actually very interested in a solution as well. I tried it as well yesterday but it also didn't work for me. Nothing happened when I implemented the css. I am usign the new events calendar.
We could not the solution without it completely breaking the layout on the booking form.
We will work on implementing a solution for this that is built-in, but this time the task has been created and we will be implemented this in the near future.

Hello Gerhard,
Thank you for reaching back out to us.
This should be implemented in the 6.0 version, which will be released in the next month or so.
In the meantime, please let us know if you have any other questions.

There have been two updates in the meantime but none included this function. Any new estimate?
Hello Gerhard,
Thank you for reaching back out to us.
This has still not been included as there have been changes in the priority of certain features. I hope that it will be implemented soon.
Really sorry for the inconvenience.

I requested this two years ago as well and it's extremely disappointing that this feature was promised in 2022:
"This should be implemented in the 6.0 version, which will be released in the next month or so."
But we still have no option? This regularly causes frustration for customers.
Hello Jacob,
Please use the following CSS for this purpose nad let me now if this works for you.
.am-ec:has(p.am-ec__info-availability.closed) { display: none!important; }
Looking forward to your reply.

Hey Uros,
No - this did not work effectively.
It does hide the cancelled events but breaks the page function. I ended up with a blank page with only a "canceled" event visible, and then only on the 2nd page were the open events visible.
