"Option to add, update or replace an already existing manual table by adding a new Excel, CSV or Google Sheet file"
"This is a MUST! I have a big table of 8 thousand rows, built from a CSV file. But my CSV file gets updated daily. So how am I suppose to add the new values to the wpdatatable?"
In my case I am populating a table from a Google spreadsheet. The data changes weekly. I have been using the excel like editor for over a year to copy and paste updates or new entries but this takes quite a bit of time as I have to manually fix some pasted values one by one - especially dates. Also when the table is very wide (goes off-screen) it is tricky to select all the required columns for pasting.
My spreadsheets have max 50 rows, but as I said, a lot of columns per row. It would be great if there was an alternative to adding, updating or replacing data in bulk without using copy/paste.
This feature (updating existing tables by uploading an external file) is currently in the testing phase.
We hope that it will be released within a month or so, but we can't promise an exact ETA. If everything goes smoothly during the testing phase, it should be released soon.
Hi, I found this on your feature requests/roadmap which is indicated as being "in progress" - any update on when this will be available?

Hi Aleksandar,
Is there any update on whether this feature has been released? Thanks.
Amanda
Hi, Amanda
Yes, we are happy to say that in our later versions, now you are able to upload CSV/Excel and Google sheet data to update existing Manual tables.
Please check more on how this works here.
Let us know if you have any questions.
