    In a pre-purchase ticket I chatted to Marko and he confirmed that this plugin can be used for both services booking AND equipment rental:

    Yes, we told you that this plugin can be used for both services booking AND equipment rental and it can, but you skipped the second part of the sentence, where we also told you

    "but you have a specific case and we don't think you can achieve that with Amelia".

    We cannot know by heart what you want to adjust and tell you so.

    Please briefly write us what you want to achieve with an example and we will try to help you set it up.

    I just want to know how to go about adjusting the back end to equipment rental...ie. not have the words services and employees and appointments displayed everywhere. But rather, categories, items and bookings. 

    Example on the appointments page it would be great to change it like follow:

    And, adding items, would i add that as services or as employees? I was thinking as an employee because if the item is booked out at a certain time it can't be booked out again in that time. The problem with that is, let's say I have 50 items, i need to add 50 employees basically...but since i am forced to ad an email to each employee and as far as i can see i can't use the same email more than once...how do I go about loading the items then? I can't go and make an email for each rentable item...

    So, my question thus is, if I want to use the site for booking out equipment, how must my setup look? Where do I add the various bookable items in the back end? Do I ad them as services? But I am forced to link an employee with a service, so do I create 1 employee (basically the guy in charge of the bookings then), then add the 50 items to services and link all of them to that one employee, but now what happens if I book item1 out in day1 from 9-10 which will close that time slot for the employee, but now i need to book item2 out also on day1 from 9-10, will i be able to or will it prevent me because the employee is booked for that time slot?

    Not sure if i am making sense? 

    In short...how does it work if I want to use Amelia for booking out equipment?

    Hello again,

    We are not 100% sure that we understood everything from this ticket, and what you want to achieve, but we try to help as best we can.

    This design is the default design of Amelia and if you want to change some words in the back you can try to achieve that with poedit.

    Words can be changed using POEDIT and this is an instruction:

    1. Download the Amelia plugin from CodeCanyon and save the .zip file on your computer.

    2. Unzip the downloaded .zip file.

    3. You need to download and install POEDIT

    4. After that open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/wpamelia-fr_FR.po.

    5. Translate all the strings that are not translated

    6. Save the translation.

    7. Go to ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/ folder and copy these two files called wpamelia-fr_FR.po and wpamelia-fr_FR.mo back to your website in the location ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/.

    This is an example of the French language, but you will choose yours.

    As for same email address for employee, if you use Google or Outlook for emails there is a workaround. You can put the same email just place +number before @ and you will be able to save employees but all emails will go to the same email address. For example [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] etc, will be different while saving and you will be able to save all employees but all emails will go to [email protected] address.

    Amelia works like this if you have a service and you want 50 people to book the same time slot for an appointment, you can do it in two ways.

    You can either create a group appointment where for example 50 people will be able to book the same time slot with one emploee or you can create 50 employees where they will be able to book 50 appointments at the same or different time.

    We mentioned that you have a very specific use case and we are not sure that Amelia or any other plugin can meet all your specific requirements.

    If you have 10 different services and you want to have 50 individual places for each time slot on each service, in that case, for example, you would need 150 employees.

    No, sorry, i think I went in to too deep a dive with this...the biggest basic question of the entire ticket is: How do I set up Amelia to use it for equipment rental and not services and employees and appointment. But to book a piece of equipment out. How do I set up Amelia for that?

    Our developers are working on a "Resources" feature that will be suitable for the way you want to configure your website. There is currently no ETA but we hope that it will soon be implemented.

    Before I purchased the plugin I double checked weather this plugin can be used for booking out equipment, and it was ensured that I can and that is what this ticket is about. How do I set the site up to do equipment bookings....

    Hello,

    With all due respect, we did not assure you but we have told you that Amelia can be used for equipment rental. But that you have a specific case and that we think that you can achieve what you want with Amelia.

    You can see it on the screenshot we are sending you, where you can see the whole sentence.

    We have clients who rent massage chairs, for example, and they rename their employees to massage chairs 1, massage chairs 2, etc. We also have clients who have escape rooms and are also just a rename employees to room1, room2, etc, and they are very satisfied with Amelia.

    As my colleague mentioned, we should soon have a resources option, we can't give you the eta right now, but it should be implemented in the next couple of months.

    Also, we cannot guarantee that this option will also be suitable for your specific case. For now, it seems that what you want to achieve is not possible to achieve with Amelia, but we hope and we cannot guarantee that you will be able to with the new resource option. In case you don't want to wait for that option to be implemented and if the option to rename employee doesn't suits you for now, you can ask for a refund if you wish. We can not tell how to set you plugin for your needs, but we can and we will be happy to help and answer your question one by one.

    Ok, but i have also just plainly asked how so I set up the system to work for equipment rental. Forgetting the specifics I want. I just want to know how to use the system as it currently is for equipment rental. I have asked twice and twice the answer was yes I can. So I asked, how. 

    But thank you, you have now answered me. By renaming the employees to the various equipment. Thank you. That is what I wanted to know.

    It works perfectly for now. Thank you. It's just tedious to load equipment/employees since I can't import (i mean an equipment rental show will have a lot more equipment than staff....309 items to be exact that I need to load one by one....then after loading go back on to connect to the calendar...it's tedious, so for the section on the resources you are developing...please keep this in mind...). All my other millions of tickets you guys had to endure the last couple of weeks together with some odd work-arounds I managed to achieve all I needed to for now. I am curious to see what the resources section will bring to the plugin once it's ready...and then...how do I get my 309 items over to the resources section and not have them as "employees"...also keep that in mind since you say you have a couple of users that are using the plugin like this, so more people than just me will have this question when that part gets released.

    Thank you and your team for all the support on all my millions of tickets and assisting me in making Amelia work for me and my client.
