I've tried everything but I can not figure out how to link Amelia Employees to WP Users. I have the User Roles set, but the list does not populate in Amelia Employee area.
You can do this easily. From the WordPress Menu, go to Users » Add new and create a WordPress user with an “Amelia Employee” role. After you create a WordPress user, go to the “Employee” modal and under the “WordPress User” option select a WordPress user you’ve previously created.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.
We have isolated the issue, and it seems we have resolved it.
1.
We can see John Eller is already connected to the WP user with same Email/ that has Employee role - so i believe we can consider that one solved?
2.
Now, regarding Hank - it gets more complicated.
Firstly, you have set an employee in Amelia, with a certain email [email protected].
You have a WP Administrator user with same email - [email protected]
Please be careful not to mix any Amelia role with Administrator users; or to make Employee or Customers with an Administrator Email.
-
We suggest to change the Email of this employee, to the one you actually wish to connect , in WP Users, there is a Hank Isaac, that has email [email protected] . ( He has employee Role)
But if i try to change it on the Employee, in "Edit Employee" in Amelia;
we got message "this email is already being used"
The reason is that, somehow, there is a customer in Amelia with same Email :
I hope you don't mind, we deleted that customer for you - since he has no bookings anyway;
And now, we are able to set this email on the Amelia employee - and we can see the WP user on dropdown list :
-
Please let us know when you check- this issue should be fixed.
It is possible that someone made a booking from front-end, and input the Email [email protected] as customer's email - Then a customer got created with that email.
We advise to be careful when booking - if you use Admin Email, or Employee Email >
then a customer with that email can get created - which can cause a conflict like this.
Let us know if anything was not clear, and if you have any questions.
Yes, we have several Users who were in the system prior to installing Amelia. We are also using BuddyBoss. We need to convert all Users with the BuddyBoss profile type "Instructor" to be an Amelia employee. Currently they all have the Roles "subscriber and Amelia Customer".
I assume that is causing the problem since their email is already registered as an Amelia Customer.
So I think we may need to delete all all these and re-add them. Luckily there are not very many.
Would it help to click the button in the BuddyBoss integration settings after we change the Role to Amelia Employee?

Yes, I understand the process how the process is supposed to work, and I've tried that.
But it does not work.
Did you see my screen shots?
I also provided a login for you to take a look.

Thank you for looking into it.
The issue seems to be with Users who were already in the system before we installed Amelia. But it does work when adding new Users.
With John Eller, I deleted his account, and re-added him, then it seemed to work as expected.
I just tried converting an existing User "Steven Ruth" to an Employee, but it still did not work.
Seems like I'll just need to create new Users for the Employees.
Not a major ordeal, but something is not working quite right.
Thanks,
Hank

Hi, Hank
Sorry for the waiting time
You will have to check for all of these users emails, if they exist in Amelia Customer list, as customers;
just as i did for those couple of users;
then if you find customers with same email > you have to delete them as customers from Amelia;
and that email will be available for employees after that in Amelia.
- At any point before or after , you can change their WP user roles, from Customer to Employee >
but only when you finish everything, and the Amelia customers have been deleted;
then you can hit the button in BuddyBoss to create employees from all users with Employee role, so that step is gonna be the last one.
So, as i said - the most important step is to firstly check, if there is a customer in Amelia with same email > make sure to delete the customer;
then check if the WP user has Employee role > and you can hit this button.
Let me know how it goes. Thank you
