    Dear Amelia Support,

    We have many Problems with Amelia, is there a chance that you manage them in 2-4 weeks? If not can you recommend another product with this missing features?:

    - Clients can not book 2-3 services at once only 1 service. We are a beauty salon our clients book minimum 2 services at the same time.

    - if we block a day/week (availability) in the online calendar - we can not book a service. That is not good. We usually block some days because WE want to manage the appointment without showing the availability for the clients online. It makes the booking very complicated. We have to make the day available again, than book the service etc.

    - The system is slow and do not save the changes many times, yesterday we had some problems changing the employee work hours we could not solve it yet...we had to change THE WHOLE opening hours of the salon. it is unacceptable.

    - we can not easily block some work hours in the calendar itself - if an employee has another things to do- , but we have to open the employee menu and set up a special day?! this is also very complicated and sometimes not working at all


     Is there a chance that you manage them in 2-4 weeks? If not can you recommend another product with this missing features? Or we have to buy from another company because we need these features after our holiday.

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    When you have several questions or issues, please open a new ticket, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily. 

    Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.

    1. - Clients can not book 2-3 services at once only 1 service. We are a beauty salon our clients book minimum 2 services at the same time. - 

    In Amelia, you can book one service at a time, but you have a Pro license and you can make packages and combine all services as you wish, and that way the customer can book several appointments at once.

    You also have the option of extras for each service. With the extras option, you can add, for example, that the hair trimming is half an hour long, and if you want extras like hair washing, for example, that it is an additional 10 usd and 20 additional minutes. We think the extras option would suit you just as well

    2. It's designed that way. If you block days, they will not be available for booking, that's what this option is for. You can create another service that will not be available on the front, just do not disable the show service on the front option and that way you will be able to book an appointment on the back.

    3. The slow load can be caused by a lot of things - the number of appointments you have, the number of customers, the number of employees, etc.

    Other than Amelia, it could be caused by the amount of other data you have on the page. 

    If you are on a dedicated, or on a shared hosting. Can you increase the php_memory_limit on your site?  If you're not sure how to do that, you can reach out to your hosting provider. 

    Please check out our demo sites (link) and see how the plugin should behave on a site with dedicated hosting and good server performance.

    4. Our special day option works normally and there is no issue with them if it is set correctly. You have an easy option if you have done the google integration, your employee can easily block time slots in the calendar and those time slots will not be available for booking in Amelia, you can read more about it at the following link https://wpamelia.com/configuring-google-calendar/

    We van not refresh the plugin anymore, I also do not see an activation in my tms account.

    Another issue that the timezone changed today and now you can book appointments one hour earlier which is not okay.

    Can you please check that too? Amelia should use the timezone of our WP page, or how does it work?

    Hello Sausan,

    To begin, I want to extend my heartfelt apologies for the delayed reply, 

    which is due to an unexpectedly high volume of inquiries. 

    We truly value your patience during this period.

    1. In regards to not seeing the Activation tab in Amelia and not being able to refresh it :

    It seems you somehow downgraded your Amelia Premium installation to Amelia Lite ( the free version).

    Do you perhaps use some automatically hosting managed "Auto update" Tool for updating Plugins?

    We had a couple of users who used a specific 3rd Party Auto-Update Hosting Managed tool which made a mistake of not recognising our Amelia Plugin 'slug names', because the Premium Amelia and Lite Amelia have the same 'slug' so some Auto-Update Plugins can not differentiate and they make a mistake of somehow 'downgrading' it from Premium to Lite.


    If that happened, here is how to fix it.

    If you don't see the Activation Tab in the main plugin settings, it means that you somehow have the Lite plugin version installed.

    Please follow the steps explained here

    it is a step-by-step explanation of how you can safely remove the Lite version without losing any existing data and install + activate the Full/premium version.

    Let us know how it goes and if you have any questions.



    2. the timezone changed today and now you can book appointments one hour earlier which is not okay.

    This might be an issue with your Time Zone settings between main WordPress Time Zone and Amelia setting.

    We will explain what is the best way, and depending if you wish to convert the times for the client when they visit your Page.

    If you enabled this setting : Show booking slots in client time zone on the Amelia general settings :

    If you enable this option your clients will see time slots in their own time zone, and once they schedule an appointment you will see it in the back-end in the time zone that you have set in the WordPress General Settings under the Timezone option. So, for example, if your clients are in a time zone that is 1 hour less than yours, they will schedule an appointment for 8 pm, and you will see this appointment at 9 pm in the appointments list.

    Also, for example, in the main WP time zone, on the settings , if you have set a fixed UTC time zone.

    We strongly recommend switching to a City that is the closest to the same time zone, to avoid any issues between back-end and front-end times.

     The main summary is : 

    When you select the city you're in, in WordPress' General Settings, the system automatically calculates the Daylight Savings Time, and shifts the clock accordingly, so if you have any issues with what you see on the front-end vs what you see in the back-end, always check the Time Zone in WordPress.

    And with this new feature to set employees time zones; we also recommend picking a city, rather than a fixed UTC time zone, to avoid any issues.

    Important to note : for employees as well, it will only show their time zone when they log into the employee panel;  otherwise on the back-end, it will always show your WordPress time zone.
