Combine fields

    I have a table with 4 fields.  On desktop it shows very nicely.  On mobile, however, the real estate is very small.  One idea is to display the results vertically by combining the results rather than in a table with one row and 4 columns.  For example, the image would show with the name of the person under it and then the description and then the button.  Is something like this possible?  I have the forms plugin but I'm not sure that can be used for something like this?

    Hi, Andy

    Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

    We don't have a built-in way to switch the display as you described, to kind of switch them to go vertically, just for mobile screens.

    Please feel free to search on our suggestions page

     to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there,  and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

    and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    - There is a custom workaround, for SQL users, to make a Pivot table;  but this would do it for all the screens, so that won't do here.

    What you could try, at least to make the table look nicer as much as possible, is either to try our Responsive features;

    here is an example of how i use it for mobile screens :

    For mobile screens, a typical layout with our built-in responsive setup can be, for example, like on this screenshot, two columns showing fully, ( you can choose one or more to be "visible") and the rest of the columns, "hidden",

    then there is an " + " button, to open a certain row, and show all the details, of course.

    For example, if i got this table

    3722903196.png

    And if i only select columns Client and City, to show on mobile screen, go to Column List:

    The little mobile image is used to display on mobile screens, and the one to the left of it is for tablets;

    This is the result:

    Please check out this Documentation section with a step-by-step example of how to achieve this, and let me know what you think.

    So, i will advise to check if you selected the two columns that you need to be both visible on mobile;

    see them on column list;  and set them visible on mobile, while keeping the other column grayed out.

    Another way can be using our Master-Details add on.  It has really cool features, perhaps that can help. Please check it out here.

    Before purchase, you can test the Add-on features on our sandbox site.

    Let me know if any of this helped - i hope so smile.png
