We have been having a problem with email notifications since two weeks and I am unable to fix it alone.
When a client uses our booking form to make an appointment, Amelia should send an 'Appointment Approved' notification email to us and the client. These 'Appointment Approved' email notifications are only sometimes being received by both the client and ourselves. The problem occurs, randomly, in both German and English language versions of the website. I am unable to replicate the problem the same way repeatedly. When testing, the email I use to receive the notification may work or may not without explanation. I have experienced the problem on different devices, whilst logged in and logged out and also in private browsing mode. We are receiving bookings without any notification, this means we need to check our employee panel quite often...
I have tried WP mail, SMTP and php mail and the problem persists in the same way with all of these settings. We are using Hostinger and I can see from our back-end domain that the emails are sending intermittently. This leads me to believe it is a problem with Amelia bookings form not triggering the notification. To support this, when I manually approve an appointment (after disabling the auto approve setting each appointment must be manually approved), we always receive the 'Appointment Approved' email, however we do not always receive the appointment pending email.
We are currently using the old booking form. We did try the new beta booking form but had a problem not being able to use coupons and see service views in the dashboard. That ticket is closed and as the old booking form used to work I was not interested in switching until it is no longer a beta booking form...
I am also not keen to share log in credentials or have someone log into our wordpress.
*Please note that this will send all notifications that were not sent retroactively, thus it could lead to a large number of emails sent if this issue has been ongoing for an extended period of time.
To be honest, i never saw something like that before, but i will reach out to our 2nd level Team - they will help us isolate the issue regarding those strange looking emails, from screenshots...
Could we also take a remote look at your Wp-Admin?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Can you please check the recommended settings from the 2nd link, and if that doesn't help - reach out to their team and see if they have some other recommendations? Please let us know what they say.

Hi, George
Sorry for the delay
I can see this issue will be quite difficult to troubleshoot, as it is intermittent like that,
but we will do our absolute best to assist you as much as possible.
I will have to escalate it to our senior 2nd level Team, they will help us tackle the issue.
As soon as they advise how we might approach it - i will report back as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your patience.

May i just ask, since you're not able to grant us credentials for the live site;
could you perhaps try to make a staging/test version of the site, stripped down from any sensitive data, like customers/ or anything like that?
We can then make our dummy customers/employees/services, and try some testing , to see if we can replicate the notification issues?
Of course, if you would do something like that, you would send us a private reply, so that only us can see it.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi, George
Firstly my sincerest apology for all the waiting time.
I've been advised from our 2nd level Team on this query.
-
You can add the following cron event and it should send all emails that were supposed to be sent.
*/15 * * * * https://example.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wpamelia_api&call=/notifications/undelivered/send
*Please note that this will send all notifications that were not sent retroactively, thus it could lead to a large number of emails sent if this issue has been ongoing for an extended period of time.
-
Let me know if that solved the issue. Thank you
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi, George
Sorry for the delay - i have been advised.
It seems this issue is caused by TranslatePress plugin. I can see their customers complained on wordpress.org:
